Update at post 9mths
$7,700
I was going to wait and post up for the one year marker but took these back at end of Oct (9mths) so thought I'd post them on.
What a journey this has been! It's taken over my life the last 9 mths but then the pot belly took it over pre vaser as well I could say.
Ok so here I will say yes I am glad I had it done. No I wouldn't go through it ever again and not 100% happy with my outcome. In my eyes I paid for what I had hped was to be a smooth tummy but as I was given aggressive vaser it has left this strange flattened area and then lumps. I have done my own aftercare by talking to RS people and reading tons of info on vaser and I could not had done any more to aid recovery than I have. So this is how it's left. My one final attempt to smooth the skin is I will have some Venus freeze in February.
I'll post up next after that.

I went back to the beginning of your photos in order to reply to your update.
You are considerably, massively more slender than you were post op, BUT, as someone who is also post op, I can see why your not happy.
When you pay for it, you expect it to be right and I'm sorry for you that it's not.
I don't know what Venus freeze is but I hope it gives you the result you deserve

It is the disappointment of not having the smoothness that I pictured as an end result.
Fingers crossed the Venus freeze gives me that.

I will make sure I follow you on that Venus freeze. I had Tumesant lipo last Feb. on outer thighs, flanks & abs. I'm not thrilled with the cellulite at the top of thighs after it, defiantly smaller is better, clothes look nice....but....my age 61 had a lot to do with it. Cellufina is the latest for my problem. I did a lot of massaging the lipo areas, it helps with lumpiness.
I've not heard of Venus freeze I wonder if it's like cool sculling. I'll look forward to reading your up dates. Have you had any PRP (protein rich plasma) injections to help soften and smooth out scar tissue? Your skin retraction looks really good. I hope the Venus freeze helps with your overall results :-)
Arr Auto correct I was to type cool sculpting not cool sculling lol
Hi I've not heard of PRP....
I'll look it up . Meantime I hope for the venus freeze to help smooth the skin out.
Thing is it's definitely scarred tissue...I've not had it looked at in person by another surgeon but have been told by surgeons on here looking at the photos.
My healing experience has been awful so I'll not ever have surgery again let alone I can't afford to!

I could take a look into cool sculpting....thx for advice
Here are the links to Venus Freeze:

Looks like CoolSculpting has a much higher worth it rating, but still worth researching both. Hope that is helpful.
Hi Jan,
I had Cool Sculpting before I had lipo, it was actually quite painful and left me bruised for a while. It didn't work for me. I'm no expert but it doesn't look as if you have fat, but would need something that melts scars.
Have you tried Dr Bass??? From others stories, he seems to be good and a really nice man. I regret not finding him first. It may mean a bit of a commute for you, but may be worth. I also read a lot about Dr Alasani in Marbella. He is a BBL man, but all his lipo's look amazing. I think he may do Skype consultations which could work for you.
Thinking of you x

20 weeks and still a journey
so 20 weeks past last Thursday. It has felt a lot lot longer. I will be totally honest here that I am now worried about the time I am taking to heal. My surgeon has told me I am slow...I emailed him yesterday this photograph telling him I am concerned about the skin tenderness still and the apparent skin irregularities. He has told me tenderness is connected to scarred tissue and told me I need longer at compressing and need to keep up with the foam inside my CG. So this I am doing at night and still wear my second stage garment all day.. The minute I leave it off I feel too vulnerable. Anyone reading this and maybe experiencing the same or similar can you please tell me how you are getting on and anyone that has had this and is now out the other side, please tell me how long. I am seriously beginning to have doubts on my abs ever looking smooth!

I'm due to have my vaser on tummy and flanks next Saturday and feeling extremely apprehensive now, I've even told them this. As after seeing your review and one other both are not looking great. I also can't find any other before Or afters on line for him which is not reassuring They are threatening to invoice me half the fee. I'm not pleased about this as I'm already losing my holding deposit of £500 :(
It seems there aren't many experienced surgeons in the uk as there are in the US for vaser lipo. Also when you look at doctor Hoyos (South American) work it blows the majority of others out of the water by comparison. I'm a single mother who works hard and saved hard. I don't feel I should have to pay for something not sure about :(. I've lost £500 already. I hope it gets better for you.
Hi jenzoo where are you living?
If you want to I am happy to talk to you privately in the phone to have a chat. Please don't look at my negatives. I appreciate yr being worried.

Hi I would love to chat today if poss as it's my last day to make a decision. will try and send my no privately.
I'm sorry to ready about your frustrations but I do remember from my research that it can take a good 4-6 months for the skin to feel and look like normal again. I know your still having MLD are you also massaging yourself daily? I've found bio oil an amazing product has been return life back to my skin. I'm still at that early stage (almost 6 weeks post op) so I completely understand what you mean by skin tenderness especially those little twinges that I've call my body bits coming back to life lol. Longer compression could feel like a set back but your body will heal at its own pace and it's good your doc is providing advice has he spoken about how much longer or what the next step is if your still it 100% happy in another month? Keep up with your massages (helps with scar tissue and fluid). On a happier note did you get to go on a shopping trip to upgrade your wardrobe :-)
Hi silverytail girl. I'll be honest....no I've not massaged...Giuseppe didn't suggest to only told me to MLD....MLD is over now. I've read various comments from doctors on here regard massaging with some saying it will not improve healing...to be honest my area has been way too tender to apply pressure!!!
Giuseppe only had said keep up with the foam in CG at night and speak to him in 3mths time! So that I shall do.
As for clothes...I've spent a bit yes;). Also had a lot if work trousers altered ;). To date I've lost 9 kilo.... That's from my heaviest to now! So that's all fab....just need an 'even' looking tummy and I'll be sorted!

I am 6 months out and still through times of a lot of swelling and is uncomfortable. I feel a lot of tightness when there is much swelling. I did not imagine this. I still can't "show off" my new body consistently due to the swelling. I am 41 and had 2 liters removed under local (not recommended by me) in February.
The swelling is in the middle of my abdomen. I have Vaser to my upper, lower abs and flank.
@jan1962 how is it going? I am thinking of having Vaser with the same doctor early next year and I'd like to have a semi-final feedback :) Thanks!
If I'd have found this site before I would have gone with Dr Bassi.
Giuseppe vaser I do not think is great.
I'm left with scared tissue....was told do not look for perfection ....and aftercare ....well I've had more aftercare from talking to people on here.
He may be a reputable PS but my job is not what I expected for £4500K.
Hope that reply helps.

Wow, thanks for your reply, that helps indeed… I'm sorry you're not happy with the results and I hope there will still be some improvements for you. x
Yr welcome ....as I said I wish id have found this site before I had mine done.
I'm possibly going to have Venus freeze next year....it will be a year February so if my lower ab still looks like it does now then I will definate get a corse done.
More money to spend!!
Good luck with what you decide on x

Looking at your pics, your stomach looks fantastic. It is a long process though isn't it
Hey Andrea thank you :)
Oh for sure it's a massive improve....and am not meaning to sound negative however my vision for what I paid was not to my expectation. All the posts I read on bassi everyone seems happy with their job and didn't appear to have been in discomfort for too many weeks. I'm 8 mths and still healing!
A long process for sure.

No I know what you mean. Everyone recovery is so different but yes, unusual after 8 months I would think

slowly slowly healing.....oh my what a journey this has been. I still keep thinking of a GP's comment I read on here that said up to 4mths you will be reminded every day that you have had surgery! I am STILL in my stage 2 CG and not sure I want out of it!! It has become part of my underwear!!! I mirror a comment my by Gym bunny....make sure to do your research and prepare for the after care....mentally and financially . The aftercare is paramount! I am still having MLD massage once a week and still wear the CG 24/7....Its not uncomfortable...on the contrary it has become to be my comfort suit!!!..I just bought a next size down so as to keep up compression. Not sure how necessary that is ..but its what I feel I want, so I do it. I am ecstatic with my body and if what is said that final results are not seen up to a year.....then I am very intrigued as to what I will end up looking like. None of this has come without its pain and I cannot be honest to say that I would do this again if I had to. ONLY if I didn't have to work maybe ;-). Some pics as at today.

Good to read your update. I am about two weeks behind you in healing. Yes, it has been very painful and I still swell everyday. Am not wearing compression anymore. What does yours look like? It's shorts season in Ohio and mine cover my thighs.
The garment is in my pics at the start of my profile. It's beige. It's just like a spanx but medical. The material is breathable in this brand and it's the second stage garment. It's just coming into summer here and my timing was just right for the surgery... Though I am praying by my holiday in august I will be swell free so I can comfortably wear my bikini!
You look magnificent and will look even better if that's possible. Thanks for sharing and God Bless.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. The comments really do give a good positive boost to all the discomfort through the healing journey :) x
What kind of stage 2 compression garment did you end up buying? I think your results are superp by the way!
thank you for the lovely comment...My stage2 garment is from Medasun...there is the equivalent US store too...not sure the name. someone on here recommended the site and I have bought 3...2 in large and just recent a medium just for some extra compress...no idea if I need it....it holds in a tad firmer than the mediums so I am just going with it. My second stage garment has not been at all uncomfortable....what I learnt was the discomfort was my skin inside!! However I do actually feel I am on the home stretch of the horrid tightness...just this week it is less of a discomfort getting up from seated and straightening out my torso...so I do think I am on the right side of healing :-)
Glad to hear you are feeling better! Your story gives me hope- I'm scheduled for June 4th and hope I look as good as you after! Thanks for the info on the garment too!
Hi, could you tell me if your crease has improved over the time? I have a similar but much deeper crease and it's really worrying me as it looks really bad. I'm not quite 3 weeks post op. I do think you look good btw!
Hi yes it is slowly disappearing . I bio oil it every day to help fade it. Annoying aren't they. My surgeon said it was to help define the shape!! I see him next thurs for my 3 mth check..it'll be almost 4 actually...see what he has to say on his work. I wonder if they are ever really happy when they see a finished job?! I'd be thinking... 'Hey I created that, well done me' :). Anyway... Sure you'll be all good in the weeks to come. Are you happy with the rest? And thank you for comment
Thanks for the reply, at the moment I'm not very happy, I'm quite concerned about this big crease. I call it a crease but it's really a hole, I can't stretch it out with my fingers, like the skin has collapsed. You've given me a bit of hope that it will improve but my guess is I'm stuck with it and if that is the case I'd rather have what I had before! Hope you app goes well
I'll post up after I've seen him and hopefully with some interesting helpful feedback.

I will report on the Venus freeze once I've gone ahead with it.
