Uneven Flanks After Tummy Tuck Surgery

Uneven Flanks After Tummy Tuck Surgery

I am 6 weeks post op from a tummy tuck and lipo. My flanks are uneven and I am very concerned about it. I am not sure if it is a result of a failed surgery or just a normal swelling, which will go away after sometime. I was supposed to love my body after the surgery but now I become very sad every time I see my uneven swollen flanks in the mirror.
I wear also compression garment at least 12-13 h/day, however I don’t see any differences!
Does anyone have an opinion/experience about this case?

6 weeks is waaaaaay early to judge results. You are till swollen. You may need more lipo on that side but you won't know until all the swelling is gone. What is his revision practice? Are touch ups included?
Thanks for the reply! How long until swelling goes down?
The surgery was done abroad, not sure if touch ups are included!
Swelling can take up to 1 year to go away completely but should be significantly better at 4 to 6 months. (Commented in the regular comment thread as well sorry)
I have the same thing happening and I'm 4 weeks out...I can tell it's swelling though because I can't feel my hip bone and prior to surgery I could. So hopefully just swelling
You need some more time. At (6) weeks I was still very swollen and sore to the touch as well. Try not to focus on that so much because you look great. :D
Same here. I’m 6 weeks post op and still really swollen. We just have to be patient- easier said then done tho
You're definitely still swollen at 6 wks but based on my TT experience, the concern I had at 6 wks was still the concern that led o a small touch up at 6 months. A bit more lipo did the trick and likely will for you as well. Your abdomen looks great tho!
