Now I Understand Why Lip Fillers Are So Addictive!
1st time lip filler appointment and I was nervous about looking like a duck, overinflated sausage or something like that. I have a pretty conservative professional job and need to look natural, not "done". But as I've gotten older, my top lip was really bothering me... it's always been thin, but now it just totally disappears when I smile. I've researched lip lifts forever and knew I wasn't going to have surgery, so I finally started looking into threads and fillers because I have a job interview coming up and needed to look a bit younger (age discrimination is rampant in my field).
When I learned about Kysse and how it gives you height without projection, I finally decided to go for it and saw Chelsea at The Injection Room in San Antonio, TX. Her clients lips on instagram seemed the most natural-looking among the other injectors at the Injection Room, and I was also extra relieved when she introduced herself and said she was a nurse practitioner. Super reassuring, explained everything, and numbed me up extra well so I barely felt anything! I had seen the russian lip technique online and thought that's what might be best for me.
But she said that would probably make the natural ridge above my lips even more prominent and look overdone, so she went with a different technique (forgot to ask!) and only used 1/2 syringe to be conservative. But after seeing my lips a few hours later, I am so in love! They look so natural - my husband knew because I'd told him ahead of time, but no one else picked up on it yet. Looks just like my high-school age lips!
Of course when the swelling goes down, they'll flatten out a bit, but if the top lip becomes too flat, I plan to go back in 3 weeks and have the rest of the syringe put in. But for now, I love this look - so natural and myself, but younger - and hardly any pain. Whew!
