Had tummy tuck on 6/17. I did it through a residency program to save over $4,000. Today is post op day 11. I hate hate hate my belly button. It came out a huge outy. My sides look like they are off completely and my stomach doesn't feel or look tight. I don't know what to do, and I don't have the money to go to another Dr. To fix it. Am I going crazy or does this not look like it has a good ending?

I have to be honest, your BB does not look like it should. The GOOD news is that it should be easy enough to fix. Your skin does look tighter than before though. You might wish to ask some of the doctors here on RealSelf what they think. When you agreed to having a resident do the surgery did you ask if they would do a touch up if you weren't happy??
I had to buy insurance along with it not 100% sure what it covers...no I didn't ask and I definitely should have. I agree it looks better than before but not like everyone else's tt.
I totally understand your disappointment with your results! I'm also one of those people who wasn't quite satisfied with my results first time around so I had a revision. You would be wise to check what that insurance policy covers. Having had the surgery by a resident I'm sure you must have signed some kind of a form that informed you that you might not necessarily get the results you were expecting. That being said those residents need lots of practice so in the presence of a board certified surgeon you just might be able to get a revision for free.
how are you doing and did your result improve
Wow. I'm not sure what to say about that. I had my surgery the same day and I had an outie prior to surgery but my results are not like yours. Everyone's body is different

I will say I agree that your belly button looks weird but i think you look good. I am no doctor but at 11 days out it is too early to come to a conclusion about how you will look. Swelling takes months to go down and although you look more swollen on one side than the other i think that is a normal occurrence. I was also more swollen on my left side than my right and as the swelling subsides you will see a difference, and having said all that i think that when you go for a follow up you should discuss All and i do mean All your concerns with the supervising Plastic surgeon. Happy healing hun.
Hey honey, have you gotten your drains removed? Wasn't sure if that pic was taken today or not... Have you had your post op with them yet? Have you been wearing your compression garment? I just had my tuck on the 18th, and I swear by compression garments. I wear the binder for bed, and I switch out these 2 I bought at target for now trying to find the perfect one for me. You still look swollen which is normal and can last for several months.
Safe and speedy healing, hope your questions get answered if you call them.
I'm here if you want to talk, take care :)
No drains are still in :( thank you hope to have better results in 6-8 months.
