So upset - 10 days later and my stomach is still bloated

ORIGINAL POST

I'm So Upset

jojo21
I saw a special for ultrasonic cavitation and decided to give it a try. I'm wishing I would have left my stomach alone. I just had a small pooch I wanted to get rid of and tone. I was left feeling bloated and worse than before. It's been 10 days later and my stomach is still bloated. I'm so worried something is wrong or that it's going to stay this way even though people keep saying it can't be permanent. I'm so upset over this and hope everyone's right that my stomach will go back to normal. Not only does it look bloated but it feels heavy and uncomfortable. Please do your research and go to someone very qualified before getting this procedure.

currently on my 12 session out of 18. I haven't even lost 1 inch. My Tec keeps telling me how great my stomach looks but I literally look exactly the same. I've drank 3 liters of water every day, workout and even lost 15lbs but no loss of inches on my waist. I'm super annoyed.

That's frustrating! You'd think after 12 sessions it would have done something by now. At least it hasn't gotten bigger like mine did though

I don't see at all how that could have happened from an ultrasound... you should go to a doctor, I'm thinking there's something else going on!

Me either! No one seems to know why it happened. It's gone down some since but still not back to normal. The best educated guess I've gotten was that I didn't have enough fat on my body and it may have penetrated too deep into the tissue causing swelling and hopefully not permanent damage. I had an ultrasound scan done at an imaging center and everything came back normal. I'm glad it's gone down since but still really upset that it may have permanently ruined my stomach

I got a home device and the same thing happened to me. It eventually went away thank God.

Really? How long did it take to go away? Mine's gone down but still not back to normal :/

Exercise and good nutrition will always win

Some would say to have it massaged out, but if it's feeling heavy and uncomfortable, it might be time for some diuretics. I'm not talking OTC diuretics, I'm saying you may need to go to the doctor, get an ultrasound done to check for free fluid (or they'll do a little palpation/tap test to see, but of course the ultrasound is more accurate) and you might need diuretics if they see there is fluid in your abdomen. I haven't seen anyone else have this happen, but everyone is different so I don't doubt your claim! Apparently diet is super important before and after these sessions too (in case other people are concerned) Be safe and I hope you feel better!

Thank you! I did have an ultrasound done and everything came back normal. It's gone down but still more bloated in the area they treated than it was before. I wonder if it caused tissue damage? I'm worried it might be permanent since it's been 3 months now

Finally back to normal!

Update: 9 months later, my stomach still didn't feel right so I went back to the lymphatic massage place to see what else they could do to help. The lady wanted to do cavitation to break up the fluid/fat that was stuck there. I was scared to try it again because of what happened the first time and I didn't want it to get even worse. I decided to let her do it and she gave me a long massage afterward with a wooden roller to break it all up and drain it properly. 2 weeks later and my stomach was back to normal thankfully! I'm glad I decided to try it again and actually have it done correctly this time. I'm leaving my stomach alone from now on
