Ultrasonic Cavitation - 2nd and 3rd degree burns

ORIGINAL POST

Ultrasonic Cavitation

I went to Bodyvine Med Spa in Roseville California and got Ultrasonic Cavitation done to flatten my stomache. Worst decision I've ever made. I got 2nd and 3rd degree burns from a wire coming out and burning my flesh. It was scary, painful and traumatizing. I had never gone to this MedSpa before and I WARN others please don't go! I currently have a keloid scar the rest of my life and it can only be completely removed 100% by a plastic surgeon. Please please do your research before going into these places and ask how often they check their equipment and how long their staff has been performing these procedures.

That's awful! I'm so sorry that happened to you. They should pay to have it corrected

110% agree they should pay for any corrections you might need. However, I don't know if someone told you those were 3rd degree burns or not, because these are 2nd degree burbs. Thank God it wasn't worse! If someone had thinner skin it most definitely could have been! To feel a bit better --since these aren't full-thickness burns-- once healed, it may only need some topical treatments to reduce the appearance of scarring. If there is minor/moderate discoloration left after those treatments, laser would definitely be the next step. Regardless of what would be needed, I think it's their responsibility. However, considering this doesn't sound like the most reputable place, I'll bet you don't get any compensation without a lawyer. Good luck & I hope this heals soon!

Wow! That exactly happened to me my first time at not a great place I guess… how is your scar? Mine is pink and healing. The woman just gave me my money back, I want far away as I can. I wonder what causes this?
