Tracks Marks Almost 3 Weeks Post Op

$2,000
I was unable to attach pictures of the track marks post operation. They are along the lower cheek and jawline area in a horizontal fashion and resemble finger nail scratches. On the other cheek, they are vertical and slightly thicker, but less noticeable. They are only visible if someone stares hard enough, or in bright light. With the right primer, I can try to mask them. However, I have been in tears because I was told there was no downtime to this procedure and absolutely no chance of scarring as this was an "ultrasound". My provider told me any welts and redness should subside in a matter of hours to a few days. They were more pronounced at first, but I'm going on 3 weeks now, and I can still see them. I have no more tenderness. I've been applying arnica cream. This procedure was an absolute mistake. I did not have scars on my face prior to doing this, and having a slimmer jawline does me absolutely no favors if I have scars on my face. Can I expect these scars to keep fading? What should I do? I have no faith in the medical spa where I had this done, and I would not have done this if I knew there was a risk--even a rare one-- of scarring.

I am experiencing almost exactly the same thing as you have described in your comments. I am 4 days post treatment and have raised track marks all over my face and neck, that remind me of cat scratches. I have been using hydrocortisone and polysporine cream 2 x day with the hopes that I will negate actual permanent scars. I also had zero warnings of there being a risk of any kind to developing scar like marks in response. I hope that you are finding continued improvement in quality and appearance of the lines on your cheeks and jaw line.
I wake up every morning hoping they are gone. In addition to the lines, I also had some horrible acne breakouts. I'm well over a month now and they are still not quite fading. I'm going to make an appointment with an actual dermatologist to see what can be done. My husband says that they are hardly noticeable, however my skin was glowing before this procedure, and now I don't feel comfortable or confident without makeup. :-(
