Swelling occurs after, but no pain during the procedure

The procedure was completed 2 days ago. Numbing cream and injections were put into my cheeks and neck. Once those took effect, the esthetician did the procedure, not the medical doctor. The PA did the injections. The procedure itself took about 2 hours. I never felt any pain during the procedure, just a little pressure at times. Some Swelling on my face has occurred around the 24 hour mark after the procedure and it has continued into the second day. I have iced my face/neck to reduce the swelling. I was told it could take up to six months to see the results.
