Soooooo Painful

Soooooo Painful

This was absolutely, THE MOST painful experience of my life. It felt like burning electricity blasting through my skin and jaw. At this point, I don't think anyone could pay me enough to go through that again. It was absolutely excruciating. Granted I've never given birth, so maybe it isn't so bad when compared to that? I do have a number of tattoos though, and those are nothing compared to the Ultherapy.
If you're considering doing this treatment, I'd HIGHLY suggest researching other options!!! I read that some offices offer pain killers beforehand. I did take 800mg of Ibuprofen about 45 minutes before my appointment. IF that helped at all, I can't even imagine what it could've been like without it.
With all of that said, I'm honestly not super sore now (6 hours after treatment). I was surprised at how little it hurt when I was leaving the office. The whole right side of my face feels and looks totally normal. No swelling or soreness. My left cheek looks a little chipmunk-ish, and is sore. My neck kind of looks like I was strangled and there are lines that feel like little sunburns. I put some aloe on it and it feels ok.
The redness on my neck will cover up easily with makeup. I'm not sure how I'll disguise the swelling on my cheek tho. I had ice on it for a couple hours earlier. Hoping it'll have gone down a little for work tomorrow.
ALSO I'm having ultrasonic cavitation done tomorrow. I'll do weekly or biweekly updates with pictures. Hopefully they pain will have been worth it!!!!
Treatment aside, Paige at Skin MD in Shrewsbury was a doll. I felt very comfortable with her and I thought she made good suggestions (just wish it was something less painful haha!). She was very patient with my squirming, clenching, and yelling lol. I even was getting choked up and holding back from bawling my eyes out. She did also suggest I get Profound done, but I thought that was a bit excessive for what I needed. I'm going back in a month for a silk peel and photofacial. So excited for that.
I'll update in a few weeks.

4 day update
Had Ultherapy done 4 days ago. Swelling has gone down a little bit. Still sore to the touch, kind of feels like bruises. One interesting thing I'm noticing, is my skin actually seems looser than before. I'm assuming that will happen before everything tightens up? If anyone else has experienced this, please let me know. Thanks!
I'm uploading pictures from 24 hours after and 4 days after treatment.

This procedure ruins your face. I prepaid for 2 sessions and never returned for the second. It actually aged me! I now have to rely on fillers. I'm waiting for a class action lawsuit one of these days.

Google it. There is a class action lawsuit. I was lucky, I got no results. Stay away from in Forna too.

yes this happened to me,, my skin loss was bad, the nurse said maybe it had melted my fat cells!

This will absolutely melt fat cells and can cause nerve damage, like I have. You are very lucky if your nerves have not been affected. My entire face has atrophied because of this and I also have vision impairment and nerve damage. I was never warned of these side effects. I’m also only 29 years old.

Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry you 3 have gone through that!! I, stupidly, didn't read all the negative reviews before having it done. If I had, I wouldn't have gone through with it. I don't think I have any nerve damage, thank God. When I first had it done, my face had this "twinge" feeling all over for about a day, but it went away. I will say, I've always had kind of a crooked mouth, but i feel like it's more accentuated now. I'm not sure it it's actually from the Ultherapy, or just because I'm so hyper focused on that area of my face. I really hope you ladies get some sort of resolution for the troubles Ultherapy has caused you. I don't understand why these side effects aren't even mentioned anywhere on this site.

I also lost all the natural tightness and collagen in my face and it literally collapsed and ate up all my fat cells and I have documented nerve damage, my face is no longer able to sweat. I have to have fat grafting and I'll never be the same. There were only one or two negative reviews on it here when I did it early 2018 however I went to a PS I knew and trusted for 15 years. Worst thing that ever happened to me. Trying to stay positive but it's going to take everything I have to fix and I'll never look the same.

1 week update
Swelling on face and neck is almost gone. My sister is the only one who noticed (or at least the only one who noticed and said something about it). Still a little sore to the touch. Haven't noticed any tightening yet. Will update again in a week or 2.
