Severe swelling with welts - left a scar on my lower face

ORIGINAL POST

Scar from Ideal Image

$1,400
I had lower face Ultherapy done at Ideal Image and experienced severe swelling with welts on my face. I called them and they said it probably just means I’ll have really good results. 3 months later, after everything finally healed, one of the welts left a HOLE IN MY FACE. I contacted the manager and asked how it can be corrected. She asked me to come in for photos and said she would send the info to the medical director for review. We emailed back and forth about 8 times over 3 months and she stopped returning my calls and e-mails. End result: I paid $1,400 for a scar on my face. They gave me the run around and then they completely blew me off. I went to them to improve my appearance and now I look worse than when I started AND I'm out $1,400. It’s criminal.

I'd get a lawyer and send them a letter. They would refund you fast. Blast them on social media

Thanks for the tip! I actually have spoken with a lawyer. I just have to get all of my photos and communication attempts over to her.

Hey hun, Find out who the owner is AND THE MEDICAL Director. Most times spa's or wen med spa's have MA's, estheticians or nursing applying these therapies. But a doctor typically is the director. I am not quite sure about ideal image and the legal side of that but if they have a medical director they're respond at the end of the day. They may not be aware of this situation. In my opinion light needs to be shed on the technician who did this as it seems they need more extensive training. I would be VERY interested in seeing the technicians certification for this particular device. It's now beyond a simple refund they own you explanations in addition to monitory reimbursement. Best wishes

One more question, the machine that they used.... typically it does a reading to state the settings needed. However, machines that are of a lower quality do not have this option and the tech sets them according to what THEY feel is appropriate. I was curious if they used an actual ultherapy machine with the pre scan feature or not.

I think it was the kind that they set themselves. We just started when I got in there. It didn’t seem like they did any kind of scan before getting started starting the treatment.
