I’m now 13 months post Ultherapy. Still have fat atrophy - especially on the right side of my face - and loose skin, but it’s improved enough that I don’t feel as self-conscious as I did. My provider was very supportive and gave me a full refund, so I’m not going to name them.
For those who are recovering from the procedure, I hope you heal well. For those considering it - I hope my experience will cause you to reconsider.

It’s now 6 months since my full face and neck Ultherapy. I’ve been taking collagen supplements and my skin is significantly thicker but still loose, and I still have pits in my lower cheeks from fat loss.
I consulted with a 3rd plastic and reconstructive surgeon earlier this week who acknowledged the fat loss and laxity and recommended a mini-lift, but I’m very apprehensive about any additional procedures at this point.
Lower cheeks still don’t sweat, so it seems like that may be permanent at this point since sweating has returned to other treated areas.

Thank you for your courageous update. I'm sure more and more surgeons are seeing the fat loss and skin laxity from Ultherapy and other high energy devices, yet they benefit from it too. So much of the so-called beauty treatments (radio frequency, HIFU etc) are experimental, but the person who bears the brunt if something goes wrong is always the patient. With all the confirmed negative outcomes from Ultherapy (and countless lawsuits too), any practitioner who is still using this device is just dead wrong.
Are you going to have the mini lift? What Dr. have you consulted that you liked? This happened to me as well. Thank you.
I had no idea you were 48, I thought you were in your 30's. god bless you for posting such real photos, the world needs more people like you. you still have beautiful fair skin among other features and I hope you heal more.
How did you get sweat glands to work again?

Did you try sculptra? It should put the volume back in your lower face. I'm wondering if you did the whole face or just the lower? I'd like to try to lift my eyebrows. There's not much fat in the forhead so hopefully things won't go wrong. But what's with the nerve damage people get? That scares me. Can't make people blind? You still look beautiful and you don't look over 40. You look like a 20 year old!
You didn’t even need the ultherapy because you are very beautiful and your skin looked like a 30 year old . I would not get anything done. You are really extremely pretty. Maybe wait a few years before getting a lift. You can try sculpta for your volume loss. I think it’s what would help you. Maybe a bit Botox and minimal filler.

Update: 12 weeks post
I’m now 12 weeks post procedure, and while I’ve seen some minor improvement in volume (I still look thin just not as gaunt), I still have a ton of loose skin left behind. It’s likely at this point that a surgical lift will be my only recourse (other than just living with it).
I’ll update again at 6 months.

Thank you for your update. I've seen this phenomenon on so many people. The makers and practitioners have to know that this result (loose skin, fat loss, etc) are side effects at this point What sensations are you experiencing, in other words, what does your skin "feel" like, like internally. Does it feel wobbly, loose or disconnected?
It feels spongy, if that makes sense. And it’s very loose - really slides all over my skull when I’m applying lotion. It’s weird.
I should also note that my lower cheeks where I was treated no longer sweat. At all. I went for a 3 mile run yesterday and my cheeks were dry as a bone and super red when I finished. Thankfully my forehead and neck have finally started sweating again.
Yes, thank God your sweat glands are coming back online. Next will be sebum production (hopefully).
I’m so thankful you posted this, as I have a bit of loose skin after kybella and was thinking of this!! I think I will stick to the fried and true radio frequency treatments for tightening. You still look beautiful and much younger than 48!
Radio frequency treatments are used for fat reduction on the body as well. It's the same technology used on the face but people think they can "control the depth" of the energy, which is theoretically impossible given the tendency for apoptosis in the surrounding tissues. A (true) tried and true method is a good facelift, which leaves all the underlying structures intact.
im so sorry you didn't get results from this, so scary that they offer these things that don't work, make your skin worse when we're already struggling with our changes. These clinics just take our money even though these procedures don't work. Really should be regulated cause aging is hard mentally for woman, its just not nice. Thank you for posting, I will NOT be doing this now based on your review.
I was about to get this treatment and seeing your post has make me doubt about doing ultherapy. I have a skinny face already and my sagging is not too bad .
I wonder what kind of treatment would help to build collagen for someone with a skinny face and not lots of sagging ??

Hi your face looks exactly like mine after getting it done. What are you doing to fix it??
