Annoying because some bad reviews we are all human and you start to question it .. I’ve had a good experience so far ! I can’t say in a year from now I hope it last ! [RS bleep]

Had a call today with the clinic. Reaasured, but still nervous. They told me that the surgery is excatly like a full face lift, but under local anaesthetic. That didn’t help because I had a traditional face lift many years ago and it was a nightmare. Told me there would be ice packs at the hotel and that pain relief readily available.

One concern is that they inject you with adrenaline at the start of the procedure, presumeably to constrict blood vessels. All very scary. I have an appointment with the surgeon who did my breast cancer surgery on Wednesday and will take his opinion on issues like lymph nodes and more surgery so soon, so asked if they would keep the dates I want open until then. They are very good and don’t put any pressure on you at all and I like that. I really do want to go ahead, but I have so many concerns and can’t quite believe that it could be as minimally invasive as they say. Please tell me it is!

It’s great to have you girls to talk to. I haven’t told my husband yet either -and my potential op date is 1 May! I’m the same as you Kate and spend far too much time in real self and thinking about what I’m doing. I also am very keen to hear how Blananas is getting on. Hang tough - we will be very happy we kept our nerve. A few weeks discomfort for years of looking great ....

So tricky for you I totally understand how you feel.. . I went through a mountain of emotions.. well you don’t have drains or bandages like a traditional face lift, and I had a GA was home the same day, I do have a high pain threshold it’s no walk in the park the first few days .. my ears suffered the most .. I didn’t bruise which amazed me , but I can see some people do have some bruising ..
I personally couldn’t be awake .. Honestly first 3 days your at home in discomfort but not agony ! I was up cooking etc on the second day ... after one week I was totally normal and back to the gym and running around like a crazy person after my 4 children ! No one noticed I told my kids I went to the dentist and my youngest told the school if you go to the dentist you have your ears cut off ! Not great ! But I walked the dog on day 2 and I don’t think I looked like some ladies that have the traditional face lift .. results wise I’m so happy .. I took pain relief every 4 hrs for 3 days neurophen and paracetamol.. I didn’t have lipo under my chin have a tiny bit of fat (I’ve heard that hurts ) but he said I didn’t need it !
I just trust him .. he’s an expert .. I would have sedation though or watch him doing it as it must be stressful being able to hear all the cutting and have to stay still for so long but I can see they are so reassuring , I so nearly did the awake bit ! I postponed twice btw ! Xx

Yes they would have liked me to stay in .. but I wanted to get home it was within the price .. x

I would definitely speak to your surgeon first. I found the first 2 days the hardest and I’m feeling much better today although I am still mega-swollen. We all react so differently but it does depend on exactly what you are having done. I had lipo under my chin too and that has caused the worst bruising/swelling xx

No I couldn’t get it in pounds ... so I had a GA which was obviously more expensive it was £11000.00 much cheaper to have it at his clinic but I wanted to be asleep ..

I’m very happy with the results ..I’m still happy a month later .. are you having yours done at the clinic in TWells? I was so scared and excited as well all sorts of worries but as I’ve said before the staff and Amir so helpful your in such safe hands .. so I feel my face and neck look like they did 10 years ago .. but I don’t think people that know me would say omg she’s had surgery it’s like a much fresher look... Amir was very honest about what result I would get and I did .. the day of surgery and after you do look a bit strange swollen and tight but that goes within a week or less .. I hope it last like he says I can’t see it not but I did read one review that was not happy a few months later .. but I’m 100% sure you could go back and discuss it with him if that was the case .. so far early days love my results . Do let us know how you get on xx

Yes I'm having mine done with Amir. I also saw a couple of bad comments from those not happy, but also a review after a year that looked fantastatic...I ended up calling the clinic as I was so confused and felt a lot better after. They assured me I could go back if I was unhappy.
I am quite young (early 40s) and Amir was really up front with how 'subtle' the results would look, but if my neck and jawline can look as they did just 5 years ago I would be over the moon!

Yes so I’m early 40s and I think it’s a more subtle change.. but def a good result .. what I liked was the recovery time as well which is for sure fantastic., going back on Tuesday for my check up ! You will love the results for sure ..

Yes the recovery time is what really attracted me too, I have to space for down time of more than a few days. If my results can be as good as yours I'll be so happy!
