Well I am a mother of 4 babies and after my first i was left with excess skin! I gained 50lbs and was told after 49hrs of labor they needed to perform an emergency c-section. After waking up and seeing my tummy for the first time i knew i would need surgery to get my flat tummy back (i was 17 and 101lbs pre-pregnancy btw!) So,12 more days and I have no idea what to expect. I have been so excited and waiting for this day to come but now I am so nervous!! Any helpful tips would be appreciated i.e. what to take to hospital what needs to be purchased etc.

Welcome to the community.  Just breath and everything will be ok.  You are feeling the nerves we all feel right before surgery.  Try to focus on the final result of a flat tummy.

Check out this Supply List and Video which will help.

Try to get help for as long as you can! They say vitamin C and protein helps you heal. If you're a coffee drinker, but excedrin. I will always tell people that. I'm a huge coffer person but after surgery I just didn't want it, so it gave me a huge migraine later on which made me sick and man that hurts the belly BAD. Take your pills on time, and you should be fine :) oh! And start taking colace now! Some women get pain from constipation, but I just felt backed up. Not good straining when your muscles are just repaired. Good luck! I just got mine 3 weeks ago, and I have four kids too!!

Oops I meant two weeks ago. Lol. Also, ritz crackers were awesome for me. The pain meds should be taken with food or it'll make you sick, but I didn't want to wake up at 1 and 5 in the morning to eat then take the pill. If eat a few crackers, take a pill, and go back to sleep. Helped my nausea too.

I used colace, but it didn't seem to help fast enough. Maybe I needed to drink more water, I'm not sure. So whatever you take, drink a lot of water!!!!

Yes. I had lipo done right under my boobs and it was so sore and cramping like crazy but I think the arnicare gel helped out a lot!
