Avoid TRANSEST - Turkey
Avoid TRANSEST. This place is a farce. The cost is...
They promise you that the procedure will cost you 1590 €. With free room (for 2 days only) and transportation to and from the airport.
What they don’t tell you is that you have to come back for another session in 6 months for another 1390 €.
If you bring a companion, for the 2 trips (from USA) that you are required to make, the cost of clinic fees, flights, hotel, transportation and living expenses, you are looking at almost $10,000.
The coordinator named Aytac (pronounced I-Touch) is simply interested in your money - nothing else!
So he starts by collecting the 1590 € in cash, or roughly $1,800. By the time you are finished, they charge you additional 250 €, or about $280. Then he charges you for 2 room nights if you have a companion, 80 €, about $90.
So at the clinic, they tell you that they will only transplant part of your head. They never tell you that before you leave your country. And that you have to come back for another procedure in 6 months, for another 1390 €, and of course another flight and expenses. I checked with ALL other patients I met and they all said they were told the same. No one gets a complete transplant in one session. Everyone was disappointed.
The procedure is unnecessarily painful for the first 15 minutes. They could use more advanced methods of numbing the sensitive head area, but they poke you almost 100 times with injections of anesthesia. The method is horrendous. There were no introductions of who the techs are. I never even met the “doctor” if they ever had one.The technicians are simply zombies poking away at you without asking if you feel okay or not. If you ask them anything, they have learnt one line: “don’t understand”. By the time they are done with you, it’s 9 hours on the table.
After the procedure at the clinic, you come back the next day to take off the bandage and then you are on your own! I had to find a cab back to the airport, since their driver never showed up
I almost missed my flight waiting for him - he never even called even after confirming the night before. After reaching back home in the USA, I tried to contact Aytac, but he never answers your calls or texts. He is done with you!
There are other places in Istanbul that offer similar transplant services that might be better. You might want to check first. You can google others but make sure you read reviews and…..AVOID TRANSEST !

I have one straight forward question i want to ask if i may, who is going to do the hair transplantation proccdure is it only you Dr Ayse ÖZTÜRK and Dr Doç. Erdogan ÖZTÜRK only? and how do you manage when you have so many patient? Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Dawit
With mine it was a young male dr and all I can remember him doing was draw my hairline
The rest was done by three young girls!
No. I am not doing some commercial for any of the doctors, as I mentioned. I just told like it is written in ***Third Party Link Removed***You can check if you are on the list. I understand that Ayse Özturk should be the surgeon, but there are some incidents that where client did not even see Ayse on the surgery. How do You comment that? Ayse should be the hair transplant surgeon. But people have said that they havent even seen her. I still think you will make customers happy with the results, as you give max grafts and etc, but why do technicians do the work if Ayse is the hair translant surgeon as described. The main argument is not that your work quality is bad, but why is not the surgeon doing its work.

Aytec is rude and out for money and that's it . Keep away I have been there and I can tell you from experience how me shouted and made my girlfriend cry cause she felt threatened by him. Is this how a good business acts
Welcome to the community, thank you for sharing your experience with us here at RealSelf. What method of transplant was performed and how many grafts total? Did you go back for the second surgery? How do your results look, do you have any photos to share with the us?
