I have no complaints about Dr. Williams’ conduct or professionalism.
I am dissatisfied with the aesthetic and physical results of my abdominoplasty performed four years ago.
My specific concerns are:
Unnatural, overly tight appearance: The treated area appears excessively taut, feels firm or "rock hard," and remains rigid and uncomfortable several years post-operation, limiting my ability to feel normal.
Tension in the lower abdomen: I experience persistent tension and tightness in the lower abs that affects comfort.
Only mild improvement in diastasis recti: The procedure helped my diastasis recti mildly and did not achieve the aesthetic results I expected.
Unsatisfactory umbilicus appearance and scarring: My navel looks unnatural and the hip-to-hip scar and overall texture are distressing ( not an improvement) .. Many women wear underwear post–tummy tuck, which can hide the full extent of scarring; my scar healed unevenly and textured, which has been a major confidence issue. ( I’ve paid money to improve its now appearance)
Inadequate preoperative counseling about non surgical alternatives and risks: I would have appreciated more detailed discussion of potential negative outcomes (overly tight appearance, palpable firmness, unnatural navel, persistent tension) and non-surgical options—such as combining EMSCULPT (diastasis rectification) with Morpheus8 or microneedling—to manage skins appearance over time. Those alternatives would have taken roughly half the time and cost, produced no permanent hip-to-hip scar, and have avoided my current issues. I am still paying for scar treatments four years later, and it now appears I may require revision surgery, which would be an additional significant expense.
Lack of non-surgical options : I had consultations with three different surgeons before my procedure and none offered non-surgical alternatives; this leaves me feeling that surgeons may prioritize booking surgical business over discussing less invasive options. I see now many women with similar body types as mine getting favorable non surgical results.
Impact on me:
Emotional distress and reduced body confidence.
Ongoing concern about the permanent cosmetic appearance of my abdomen.
Physical discomfort from firm abdominal tissue and lower-abdominal tension.
Financial burden from continued treatments and potential revision surgery costs.
