Scheduled for extended tummy tuck, lipo to flanks and lower back, a pubic lift, an arm lift, and the Dr is removing an ugly mole I have on my inner thigh. Surgery is Monday 11/27 (5 days away eeek!!). I am the first and only surgery scheduled for my Dr that day...he estimates it will be an 8 hour procedure. I'm not feeling nervous yet, I don't think I will until I'm wheeling into the OR. I wish they would put me under in pre-op, I don't know what it is about seeing the OR that scares me so bad lol.

Lol, just think of it as a well needed, long overdue nap! That's what keeps me from worrying about the OR! I always just wanna get in there so I can get some sleep! : )

Here are a few more pictures. I had a baby in January of 2017, and gained 93 pounds during my pregnancy. I also have a 17 year old, and a 15 year old, and I gained around 100 pounds with each of those pregnancies too. Pregnancy just does not agree with my body lol. I am looking the most forward to my arms! My Dr tried to talk me out of it, he felt the scar was not worth it for me, but if I had to chose between doing my stomach or my arms, I would choose my arms a 100 times over. My stomach has a lot of extra skin, but it's easy to cover... arms not so much.

Awe! Thank you so much! And YOU will, too!!!! : ) I'll check back on you to see how you made out, ok. Just be prepared for the ups and downs of the post op. It's an emotional rollercoaster but it is VERY normal. All of us ladies who have gone through it already know that emotional rollercoaster very well! But that's what we are here for! To support you and help you get through this as easily as possible, so you don't feel like you are going crazy and losing our mind! Haha! Eat LOTS of protein the whole time during your healing. Protein is what the body needs most to heal. Try to keep the sodium at a low. You will be WICKED swollen! Sodium can make it worse. Take your pain meds and muscle relaxers on the dot and sleep as much as you can the whole first week! Just get up to use the bathroom and to give your family a quick hello, then back to bed! Let your family help you. Let them do everything. I know as wives and mothers, we feel as if the world will implode if we aren't the ones doing the dishes, changing the baby, sweeping the cheerios, etc. but you HAVE to let them do it all and help you out so you can heal properly, be healthy and get the best result you can possibly get. Just keep in mind, the first week is the worst! (That's why I just tried to sleep the first week away!) It's the time you are in the worst pain, the worst swelling, constipated as all get out! Like, you will almost want to sell your soul just to take a poo!...Just ONE poo!!!! Lol! So have miralax, activia yogurt, coffee, anything that can help you have a bowel movement without having to strain or push cuz your abs will be SORE!! And dealing with the drains, if you have them, they can be a pain in the butt, but they are what is keeping you from swelling up like a water balloon! They're getting the fluid out, so actually, the drains are your friend! But, week 2 gets a little better. The biggest issue in week 2 is mostly dealing with the swelling and back cramps from being hunched all the time. And you'll wakeup feeling energized and want to like go to the store or something but your energy gets wiped out SO FAST!!! You'll be begging for a bed or somewhere to sit down. Week 3 is much better! By week 4, you should most likely be walking upright by then. From then on, the biggest issue most people deal with is just the swelling and the tiredness still hits at times but you will feel so much better and you'll want to be trying on clothes and go shopping! But one of the biggest and most important things during the whole healing process to remember is to try your best to eat clean!!! Eat often but eat clean! Not being able to be as mobile as you were before the surgery will make you start to feel like you are packing on weight, but mostly it's just muscle loss and loss of muscle tends to makes us feel like we are getting fat or flabby. That's also why eating a lot of protein is very beneficial. Our bodies will take from the protein and not from all of our muscles. Well, if I can think of anything else that can help you out during your healing, I'll let you know! Have a great day and once again best wishes with your surgery tomorrow! So exciting!!! : )

Still not feeling nervous at all! I have 2 more hours before I'm NPO, so I'm enjoying some ice cream. :) We are getting up at 4am tomorrow, leaving at 5, to check in to pre-op at 6:45am. I am bringing a pillow, a blanket, some saltines, and my nausea meds in the car with me. I will probably be leaving the surgery center around 6pm, which is right in the middle of rush hour here (Bay Area, CA) so my Dr said he would leave my foley in for the ride home, so we don't have to stop a million times to pee! My husband has been so worried about all of this, he decided to rent a hospital bed, which I was originally against, but thinking about it now, I know it will be super helpful. The Anesthesiologist just called me to check in! I thought that was really nice. :) I added some more before pictures.

WOOOHOOO!!! Say GOODBYE to the belly and HELLO to the button!!! Actually, your arms really aren't that bad! But, I TOTALLY get it! That's how I felt about my sagging crotch area! Just like I had said in my review, when you hate something on you, you can't help but see it with a magnifying glass and feel like that's how the whole world see's it, too! You gotta do what makes YOU feel happy, free and confident, because YOU are the one who has to walk the earth in YOUR skin! The happier you are, the happier your husband will be, your family will be, your friends will be because they just want to see you happy, too! Here's another tip I forgot to mention. When whoever picks you up after your surgery is done, be sure they are in a low car instead of like a tall suv or pick up or something you have to pull yourself up into, if you have that option. It will be easier for you to get in and out of since you probably shouldn't be using your arms to lift yourself. Remember to use your legs to lift yourself out of bed. And when you need to get out of bed, have whoever is taking care of you give you a boost up by pushing your back. The muscle repair is what most of the pain is caused from. You might not even feel the pain from the other procedures because the muscle pain pretty much overpowers all the others. And whatever you do, for the next several weeks....DO NOT SNEEZE, COUGH, LAUGH, SHOUT, etc.. you will feel like you blew out your whole muscle repair sutures! Of course, you won't but that's what it will feel like! If you feel a sneeze coming on, get rid of it quick by pinching your nose and rub your nostrils together until you make the sneeze go away. Ok, that's about all for now! Try to get some sleep if you can! : )

Thank goodness I have a low car! Lol. I'm also getting experal injected into my abs and arms, not sure if you've heard of it, it's a local anesthetic that lasts for 3 days. Supposed to be better than a pain pump, but we'll see. It's funny that you mention my arms not looking that bad.... when i looked at these pictures I took, I thought the same thing. I know they aren't even that big, but I have to be very careful about moving too fast in public, or the skin slaps in my armpit area and it makes an awful clapping noise. It's so embarrassing! I also can fit into a small and sometimes xs top, but have to buy a medium because the arms will be suffocatingly tight. The Dr didn't think my arms were that bad either (although he did say I have quite extensive extra skin) but if I could only have one procedure my entire life, id totally choose them!
