WORTH IT$16,500
Abs are appearing! I still swell during the day, however in the morning after a workout the abs are there! I’m so excited about being back to myself. The scars look strange because I’m using hydroquinone to lighten them, and they’re red right now. Definitely getting lighter though.

New faja and updated pic
Gregarious5016August 25, 2019
My midline incision scar is almost completely gone already, along with the thigh lipo scars. The lady where I had the lymphatic massage is Colombian and sells fajas. I am sick of the giant Velcro compression garment. It didn’t fit under clothes and didn’t compress well. The new garment is great and she alters it along the journey. I’ve had the legs taken in already and will have the waist taken in on Tuesday. Tangible progress in swelling reduction!

Dr. Basu in Cypress and Houston. He has been great! I'm impressed with his incisions, really precise and small.

You look fabulous! Did you have laser treatments for the scar?

Not yet but I will. I have a small spot at the mid line where it meets the main scar that isn't healed yet, then the scar treatment will start.

Your results look amazing! I'm 13 days today and can almost stand up straight but then I feel like it's pulling. Your looks really great too!

I am schedule to have a mommy makeover next week with Dr. Basu, any advise?

How awesome!! Would you please share your journey with us? My advice would be to make sure you have a patient caregiver who is ok with a little grossness. Having drains was kinda gross. Be sure to have lots of ready made food and snacks, and a comfy spot in the house to stay for a long time. Remote and reading materials close. Many people recommend a recliner but I was happy in bed with a bunch of pillows. The doc and nurses were great, they'll explain everything you need. If you have any questions I'm happy to answer!

One thing to get also is protein shakes, apparently protein helps wounds heal faster. I got Premier Protein shakes in vanilla from heb and they're actually quite yummy.

I wanted to ask you, where did you buy your garment? The one the doctor provides keeps rising up and cannot continue to adjust.

Trying lymphatic massage to reduce swelling
Gregarious5016August 23, 2019
I’ve read from many gals who went to Colombia for their surgeries that they get frequent lymphatic massages. I’m always up for pampering, so I tried it out. I’m about 5 weeks post op, so I started later than recommended.
I had my first massage last evening and my swelling was greatly reduced initially, then back up to normal in the morning. I notice the tenderness is reduced and I’m starting to feel more ‘feeling’ in the area around the incision.
Not sure if it’s a silver bullet for swelling, but if it makes me feel better, I will keep doing it! I bought a pack of 6 sessions and will keep going.
Next week is my 6-week post op, so I’m hoping things look good for the doc!
