Tummy Tuck Today and Feeling Great

I’ve been home for 4 hours after surgery, and I’m feeling great. Small twinges here and ther, but overall good. I can already tell that I’m lost many tummy inches from the procedure. I also had flank and upper thigh lipo.
I had twins 3 years ago, and my diastasis is not improving and it’s actually getting worse. Dr Basu to the rescue!

Mines on the 31st of this month and I'm getting so nervous. I've had 3 c sections and some people told me it's worse which scares me!

I’m on day 5 now and working from home all day. The drains are annoying but I’m able to take conference calls, give presentations and lead my team virtually, none the wiser. It is worse than a c section. I had one with twins and it was just a small incision low down. This is hip to hip incision. The incision isn’t what hurts though. It’s the sewn up abs when you sneeze that are a problem! It’s a week of discomfort for getting my body back. Worth it so far!

How did your TT go? I hope you're doing great!

It went well. Thank you for asking. I'm 3.5 weeks post op. Up moving around lot better now. I'm still swollen near my incision and numb. The weirdest thing with my hips swelled the most right afterwards. I have another postop appointment next week. Overall I think everything went pretty well.

I had three c sections as well. The first one was a set of twins. After diet and exercise I just couldn’t get my muscles back and the extra skin was going no where. My recovery was very much like a c section other than I was bent over more. It was probably easier than a c section, I didn’t have a baby to take care of after surgery and could rest. I didn’t take the pain pills I was given but did take Ibuprofen and was moving around the house often. As with a c section coughing and sneezing are not fun. Cough drops helped a ton. I would keep them right next to me along with water. You can do it!!

Day 2

Gregarious5016
The pictures at the top are the ‘before’. I took my binder off today to change out the gauze and it’s looking great. Some slight pain so I’m taking a low dose of the meds. Still completely impressed with how easy the recovery is so far.

My appetite is definitely there. I ate shepherds pie last night and tons of Gatorade. Peeing a lot but it’s not a challenge to get out of bed and to the bathroom. It’s not too dissimilar to c section recovery so far.

I can definitely feel my abs, and it is awesome. Ever so slightly painful, but exciting for the future.

I’ll post day 1 pics later!

Day 2 for lipo

Gregarious5016
In addition to the TT, I also had lipo in my waist and upper thighs. The thighs burned yesterday, but today literally no pain in that area! Only a little burning in my abs and where the drains are located. Completely bearable.
