Richards performed a TT with lipo on me - June 11, 2019 - and I look and feel great. He and his staff are consummate professionals and I highly recommend him. My scar is low, straight, and healing beautifully. I’m sleeping well without any pain except for an occasional twinge with the right drain. I will post photos and a list of supplies I found helpful (out of town patient) soon. Richards is an artist and I would definitely use him again! He is simply the best!

Dr Richards and his team are amazing
Can't wait to see pics. I am considering Dr.Richards but I would be out of town as well. Please keep me posted on how the post op visits work.
Don’t be deterred if you’re out of town. I stayed at a great Residence Inn and everything has been great. I’m getting drains out tomorrow as they are a pain in the a$$ everything is healing wonderfully. Constipation is real so be sure to deal with it early. I’m off meds and walking quite a bit. If you decide to do this, three must haves: a walker, a sturdy shower sea (bought a Carex one on Amazon, and a soft triangle pillow for your knees (got mine at Costco). Didn’t need a recliner-/ed will pillows sufficient. Bring yoUr own bedding, Mattress pad, waterproof stuff as you will leak quite a bit for the first few days. Most importantly, have people who love you there to care for you. You will need help for several days.
This is so helpful. Thank you so much. Dr. Richards will be doing a TT with lipo on me on July 26. I am happy to hear you are doing so well. I am so nervous about the recovery and you just eased some of those nerves. Can't wait to see your photos. I love hearing that your scar is low and straight. Some of the photos of other doctor's work can be discouraging. Dr. Richards scar precision was a key factor in me choosing him.
I was anxious, too. Totally normal. I thought about cancelling more than once. So glad I didn’t. I’m a researcher by nature and investigated every aspect of Richards and his practice. You’re in good hands. Just understand there will be pain and discomfort and you will feel helpless for a few days. Have someone who loves you -drains and all- take care of you. Only surround yourself with people who support your decision. Know that the end result takes time through healing, sleeping, and treating yourself well. There will be bruising, swelling, etc. all is normal and a sign your body is healing itself. Follow all dr instructions and wear your garment no matter what. Sleep, watch tv,etc. don’t try to be a superhero. If you need groceries, ask someone to go to the store or have it delivered. Definitely have a sturdy shower seat. It’s been a lifesaver. Have a walker. I’ve used it many times expect to leak the first couple of days. ALOT. Get waterproof pads and change them often. Get thick gauze pads big ones too. The leaking will end. Good luck and feel free to ask me anything.
This is so helpful. Like the other comments I am neverous and scheduled for a mini TT in two weeks. This was a relief to read and I would love to see pictures.
Thank you for the recovery advice
Thank you for the recovery advice
I will post photos once I’m a little less swollen. Love the results so far and will look forward to the time when normal swelling subsides and all feeling returns to torso. Something I didn’t anticipate - nerve ending start to reconnect and reawaken causing a pin prickly sensation that can disturb your sleep, etc. this totally normal but it takes time to adjust. Got sutures out today and everything looks healthy and great. Top three things I bought : a Drive walker on Amazon, a plastic shower bench on Amazon, and. A triangle wedge thing for your sleeping from Costco. It’s a transition to be off drugs and you start feeling everything. I really liked the Valium and Vicodin. So glad I did this but the recovery is no leisurely walk in the park.

Thank you for sharing your experience - glad it's been positive! Looking forward to your update :)
