WORTH IT
From the first consult to my final 1 year post op appointment yesterday Dr. Tattelbaum has been fabulous.
After having 2 children no matter how much I exercised and watched what I ate my stomach was flabby. I went to 3 consultations, Dr. Tattelbaum was in the middle of the road on how much work to do. One wanted just a mini tummy tuck which didn't address my upper stomach, the next wanted to do full tummy tuck and all over liposuction and finally Dr. Tattelbaum recommended a full tummy tuck with no liposuction. I got to keep my curves! He is also no nonsense, straight to the point and honest about what he sees. This and a friends recommendation made my choice to go with Dr. Tattelbaum easy.
After a slight delay for COVID I had my surgery on May 29, 2020. I went with the Exparel shot and I am glad I did. The pain was pretty bad even with the shot but I would do it all again for this body. I rented a chair that helped me stand up and it was a good investment, $400 for a month was well worth it! Dr. Tattelbaum personally called my husband every day for about the first week to check on me. To be honest the first few weeks I don't really remember much but I know my husband was impressed so that in itself speaks volumes.
Follow up appointments were always quick and easy. The office runs on time. Dr. Tattelbaum spends time with you and answers any questions you may have.
Recovery process was long. Mentally draining at times but again all worth it. Your skin and muscles are extra tight and uncomfortable at first but before long your body starts relaxing and getting into its new normal. By 6 weeks I was back walking 5-6 miles a day. My lower stomach relaxed a bit and isn't super flat like it was at first BUT it looks so natural. Much better than before, I couldn't be happier!
