I’ve been on here perusing others stories for two years now and I’ve decided to get the tummy tuck procedure. I’m 38 I have three children my oldest is 18. From my very first child I gained 70lbs. Started at 120lbs. So every since then my stomach skin was stretched and didn’t jump back. I guess people have different skin because my sister in laws just bounced right back. Any who, Ive been interested in the tummy tuck procedure every since I knew something could be done about my loose skin. I’ve exercised and got down to 135lbs before and still loose skin. I think I was too skinny then and I only wanted to lose weight to lose my stomach. I lost my butt too lol and my stomach was flat with definition just hanging skin :( I now weigh about 160 and I’ve been this size now for a couple of years and I like my size. I like the way my weight fits me and my shape it’s just this extra skin!! So fast forward my only consultation was with Dr. Truong In October and it was decent. He asked me if I had any questions, answered my questions and explained the procedure. Calmed my nerves about my fears. I’m so afraid of the pain and not making it out of there. Whosa...Monika (his aesthetic coordinator) took pictures. Next was the fee business also done with Monika. I didn’t make a descion right then my husband and I talked about it once we left. From his reviews I like his work. He seems very detailed. Very professional. I also met a patient when I was there for the consult who was coming in for her follow up appointment and she was so happy with her results. Like beyond happy. That gave me confidence in my choice. I was called the same Friday of that week from Monika to discuss if I wanted to have Dr. Truong perform my tummy tuck. And that’s when I scheduled my actual procedure day. I do have to come in November to get all my prescriptions, blood work, prep & aftercare info & full payment.

Hey I was wondering what happened to you! My surgery was on the 8th of January. Everything is going well. I’m truly happy with my results so far. I have swelling and I’m numb in my stomach area. It’s honestly not as bad as I thought it’d be as far as the pain goes. You’re going up soon for your surgery I see...you’re going to look great!! I’m here if you need me. See you on the flat side

PreOp Appt

newme422
So yesterday was my preop appt and it was fairly straightforward. The nurse explained everything in details and gave me a chance to ask questions. My PS was out performing surgeries so I didn’t sit with him. I was hoping I did just wanted to talk to him again just because I don’t want to see him next performing my surgery. I’d rather spen a little more time with him asking questions and not the nurse or coordinator. So yeah it took about 2 1/2hrs to go through everything and get my blood drawn and take more photos and like I said got over all the what if’s, God forbid any of them happen, I just had to sign off saying I was aware that they could.

One Week Post Op

newme422
Officially one week post op on yesterday which was Jan. 15th. I got my tummy tuck Jan. 8th. First day was okay and I think that was because the anesthesia hadn’t fully worn off because day two painful. Not painful like unbearable, but a soreness that was very profound. My back hurt more than anything from having to walk hunched over. I’d suggest a heating pad. Getting up off my recliner was hard because you really need to use your legs. All that pressure flared up my hemorrhoids. Oh and I got my drains removed on the 10th which was day two. Days three through five were painful because of the hemorrhoids. I honestly haven’t felt any pain from my incision or mr. soreness from the mr only and it’s not that bad to me. Going into day day six I started coming down with a cold. Miserable. Stuffy and congested ugh!!! Getting to my results I’m just happy to not have hanging skin. I don’t know how taunt my stomach will actually be because there’s so much swelling. I’ve really just tried to stay positive. Thinking healthy thoughts.
