Mommy Makeover

This is one year post op. My scars have all healed nicely. I don’t have much to add. But I have to provide 200 characters. I like my results lol nipples have some sensation. They can get hard. Tummy still has areas I don’t feel anything. No pain.

These are my 6 month post op photos. At 6 months my skin did relax. Unfortunately bc of the lack of elasticity in my skin it was a lot more loose than I wanted. Dr Salas is confident when I go for round 2 that with lipo the skin will form scarring that will hold the skin up better. It is nothing that looks bad, just a personal preference on how tight I would like the stomach to be. As far as the breast go, my right is significantly smaller than the left, which is how the right was before surgery (smaller than the left) Dr Salas and I spoke about this and he stated he did not want to put any larger of an implant in and restrict blood flow to the breast and have tissue loss. I completely agree. I’ll have the implants exchanged during round 2. I chose Dr Salas bc I knew he would be a safe dr and he delivered.

I met Dr Salas the day before in his office in the midtown/design district area of Miami. He answered all the questions I had and demonstrated what he was going to do. We did before photos. I had decided to go ahead with the lift with implant. So we talked implant style and size. I was a 36dd I feel a lot of that was just excess skin. So we did agree with taking more breast tissue and using a larger implant. Moderate profile (wide not a lot of projection) 300-350 cc naturelle silicone implant. Dr Salas is very through and likes to really educate his patients on what to expect which I really do appreciate. He also provided me with his personal number to have for any questions before or after surgery .

Dr Salas operates out of Palmetto Surgical Suites in Hialeah. Which is about 25-30 minutes from his office. I was told to be there at 6. I was brought in quickly and the nurse did my pregnancy and drug tests. I changed in to the gown and compression socks and them Dr Salas began marking me up. This took probably an hour. He measured, remeasured, consulted notes from the day before. He wanted everything right. My husband was able to stay with me during this. Then told he would have to wait in the waiting room. They took me to a bed and started my iv. Unfortunately the anesthesiologist was stuck in traffic and late. So I don’t know exactly what time I went into surgery. He had predicted that it would be done by noon. It wasn’t over till around 2. He said the surgery was about 5 hours. He took his time to really get everything right. My nurse Chinna (@onetouch_privatecare on ig) came and took me back to my Airbnb and stayed with us through the evening. This was essential for my husband as he wanted to make sure everything was right for me. I did not take in enough fluids the first night and my drains started to clog up. I also got very light headed and began to pass out. My post op appt the next day was back at the surgical center. This was very difficult on me. I had been sitting in the waiting room maybe only 10 minutes and I was starting to pass out again. The nurse there was so wonderful though and took me back to lie down and hydrate me and watch my blood pressure which was low. Once Dr Salas finished his surgery he came out and inspected everything was healing properly. Which it was. My next follow up wasn’t until 6 days post op. Everything is healing fine and on track! I’m home and 7 days post op in these photos.
