Before and After Pictures
WORTH IT$11,550
I went to my PS for a consultation for a neck lift, scheduled for November 4th! I finally got my tummy tuck before and after pictures while I was there. I took a thumb drive with me. I put each pose together on one photo. Obviously, the before side is on the left taken in January, surgery was January 12, 2021 and the after picture, on the right, was 3 moths post op, April 12, 2021. What an improvement and I have NO regrets. My tingling sensation is improving everyday that I don't realize it's there anymore. I'm not sure if the vitamin B12 that I'm taking has anything to do with it or if I'm healing naturally. The supplement does say that it helps promote nerve-ending healing. My stomach is still firm and hard - looks like I work out. I had nothing done to my back but it does look like it improved the fat in the back.

Time to Reveal in Public
I went to Florida to visit a friend. I felt comfortable in my new body and was able to wear a bikini. I still have sensitivity on my skin and the wind makes it hurt. It is even sensitive to shirts that I wear. My doctor prescribed Gabapentin to relieve nerve pain. It helps some. I just got to be patient and wait for it to heal. When I left for Florida I weighed 135. The evening I came home I weighted 140! The next morning I weighted 138 (lost 2 pounds over night). I'm usually like that when I travel; not necessarily overeating or drinking. I think from flying and change of temperature and/or atmosphere. Idk.

Hows your skin sensitivity going?
June 16, 2021
Hey there! The doctor wouldn't refill my prescription but that's ok, I didn't want to be dependent on it. I still have sensitivity but it has improved and gets better every day, I sometimes forget I have it. Or, maybe I'm just getting used to it??? I'm still loving my results! I'm having a party next month. I'd like to wear shorts and bathing suit top but at my age, 58, probably not cool. So I'll just have to find something that accentuates my flat stomach :-) Neck lift tentatively scheduled November 4th, then I'm done. Not a plastic surgery junkie. Thanks for asking. How's your recovery? Would you say you're 100% yet?

A couple more things, when I lay flat on my stomach or my back and I flex my ankles I feel movement in the area that is numb, below the scar line which I think feels really weird. Not sure if it's muscle or tendon or whatever. Also my scar looks beautiful. And I also had a ultrasound for my kidneys and I was totally dreading it because they would be rubbing over my stomach but it was really easy because they were doing it in my rib area and in the area that is numb under my scar it was actually a piece of cake

Scar
Six weeks post op. I still have tingling and numbness but It’s tolerable. My scar is looking awesome. Started silicone gel about 2 weeks ago but it looked great before I started. I still have a problem area dead center that I religiously keep covered with a pad with Vaseline on it. I can’t tell if the “hole” is shrinking. IMO I think it should be left alone but I will continue to follow doctor’s instructions.

Your scar looks great! Your belly button looks so natural too! Are you still wearing your binder 24/7?
February 26, 2021
I'm wearing it about 75% of the time. I take it off in the morning for about 6 hours. It feels good to put back on. I hope the tingling goes away soon!

Nice! What tingling? I don’t have any tingling. I am still sore where they did lipo.
February 26, 2021
OMG you're so lucky to not have tingling - like when your hand falls asleep. It's the nerve endings healing from the lipo?? I have a little soreness. I can't stand a shirt touching my skin. I'm wearing a loose shirt that helps and when I lay on the couch I pull my shirt up off my stomach. But my binder hugs me enough that tingling isn't so bad. How far are you? I'm going to try to find your post again.

I’ll be 6 weeks on Monday. I had that for a couple days. I have complete feeling except for right below my belly button. I never had that feeling from the lipo. Different body reactions I guess.

How’s the hole? Has it closed up yet? You are looking fabulous!

I think my hole is shrinking and getting more shallow. I don't have previous pictures to compare it to but I started tonight. Do you get lines on your skin from your clothing; underwear, pants? I do and sometimes it feels like it's cutting in. I'm heading to Florida in a little over a week and still don't know if I should wear my binder on the plane. There is something that has me concerned. On Sunday I was on the toilet slightly straining when I felt a pop below my belly button. And then I pushed slightly again and then there were two bigger pops. Later that day when I would lean down it felt funny. I'm thinking hernia-like feeling. I don't have any kind of protrusion, maybe a little swollen in the are. Now it seems gone but it was weird, not a feeling I ever felt before. Maybe gas bubble?? I never read anything like it on here.

I have had little pops when using the bathroom and it was gas. I could tell because later I tooted and the bloated feeling in my tummy was gone. I have had them in weeks, but I have had that before. Maybe it is the same thing?? The only time I get lines from my clothing is when I wear jeans because they have no give. I don’t get it when I wear any other pants or my underwear. Do you have a faja? More of just a compression garment instead of a binder? I’m so much more comfortable in those because they move better. Maybe that would work better for you??

I'm so glad to hear that you had popping too. I think you're right that it is associated with the bowel. My binder is giving and is kind of comfortable but I rather be rid of it completely so I'll just start wearing it less and less. I'll wait to see what the doctor says when I go in 5 days.

I was told I could transition out starting at 6 weeks and be compression and binder free at 8 weeks. But that I should wear the binder when working out for extra support for my abdominals for a while longer.
