So as you guys can see I just broke out in hives in a bunch of different places on my body. My stomach, my side, thighs, back and even under my arms. This didn’t start till after my surgery. It stopped in October but just popped up again today And I am so frustrated because it’s itchy and it hurts at the same time. I soaked in Epson salt and took Benadryl, it helped a little bit where I could go to sleep but waking up in the middle of the night itching all over again. I should have really done my research instead of just jumping into this procedure. Also my belly button is starting to look terrible, I have been using mederma since my surgery to make sure it doesn’t turn out like this but I guess that wasn’t enough. On the upside I am starting to feel nerves in my stomach like if I touch my stomach I can feel The nerves all over. Hopefully by my one year update I have no more numbness and I am able to get my belly pierced to cover that ugly scar. Every day my husband tells me how great I look so I try to enjoy those moments but looking in a mirror at all the scars upsets me. I am willing to take any advice on how to lighten up my scars.

You look great. I'm 2 days pre-op and feeling nervous excitement. Trying to stay positive. I used a prescribed gel for my skin (not related to TT) and it drastically diminishes the appearance of scaring. It's called Tazorac and my dermatologist gave me samples because it is very expensive and not covered by insurance but it works! I'm hoping to get more for my TT scar when the time comes. Good luck and congrats on your new look.

I will check that out & thank you. Don’t be nervous! It’s ok. Make sure you take stool softeners now or you will regret it lol.

What does your Dr say about your belly button?

That’s the risk but I had a surgical scar from gallbladder surgery through my belly button. He said I wouldn’t have any scars but it looks worse than it was before. I’ll get a revision in 2yrs.

I have been going through hell after this surgery. Healing had been a nightmare!!!! Went to the Emergency room a few weeks ago because I had so much pain where my incision was to the point I couldn’t . They said I had cellulitis aka skin infection underneath my incision. Was prescribed 3 different meds plus narcotics for pain. I had a red bump that was small but free because of fluid there so I cut it open and pushed out the pus and look what I find!!! A damn stitch!!!!! It literally came right out smh guess i see what’s causing me to heal so slow, these cheap ass stitches my doctor used on me. My body obviously doesn’t want it in me and tried pushing it out. Anyways, since it came out 3 days after the extreme pain and redness went away. Hopefully now I can heal completely. I pray no one else goes to this doctor!

I’m so sorry to hear this! Did the doctor not use dissovable stitches? I’m glad that you got the stitch out, do you think there are anymore? Have you spoken to the doctor about any of this, from your previous posts it doesn’t look like he is responsive at all. I hope you had a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year and can leave any complications in 2020!!

He thinks I’m lying about anything I say and says all the time “These are the risks” smh I hope the others dissolved. If I keep having problems I will be seeing an attorney because he should not be a PS at all.

Hi, my stitches did the same. My incision popped open with Harden puss and the stitch that was meant to dissolve yet 3 weeks later the incision was getting red and irritable. Wow he said it's normal. My incision scar is bigger than needed because of it opening and then he says the other stiches may do the same. Please tell me if you did get an attorney as I know of 7 others of us with problems and bad results. My whole result is botched.

I certainly will let you know. My paperwork says dissolvable stitches and that felt like sewing string smh I’m going to see my options.

Sometimes our bodies just react differently to stitches. I had a bunch of spitting sutures after my BL/BA. It was nothing my PS did but just how my body reacted to them. It happens and is sometimes a risk with surgery. Don't be surprised if you see a few more months later. Also I'm a diabetic and that can cause healing issues. Not sure if you have any other medical issues or smoke but that can also cause healing delays. Good luck and happy continued healing dear.

Heyyy guys. Happy holidays to you all!!!!!!!! I know it’s been a while but i had a very small hole that would not heal and my surgeon was no help. It kept having yellow pus come out and just would not heal even with the products I was using so I stopped using them and started packing it with Apple cider vinegar( pulls out infection from wounds but burns like a mf)and after 3 days of doing that the bus stopped but it still had some bloody drainage so I let it be and heal naturally. I can finally say it have scabbed now and no longer draining but it is still sore which is to be expected. My weight has been steady at 176lbs. I tried doing sit ups but I think it’s too soon lol my stomach got sore very quick after just 6 of them. Other then that I’m loving my body and my husband is too.

This opening needs to have treated to heal by secondary intention with wound packing tape. I’m surprised a surgeon would not want a patient completely closed up. Can you get to a wound care doctor that can make sure you don’t have any secondary infections and get you on Bactrim?
