Ready for the new me!!!
Hello ladies! I am excited to start this journey of getting a tummy tuck. I have read so many stories and reviews on here that really inspire me and help me feel more comfortable with getting the surgery done. Reading your stories is actually the reason I’m finally going through with it. The part that scares me the most is the healing process. But I know that it will be all worth it after seeing the results.
I am 30 years old with a 9 year old daughter. While i was pregnant with her, I had gestational diabetes and gained almost 100 pounds. I went from 165 to 260. I am also in the military and had to lose those pounds within 6 months to pass my physical training test. With losing that much weight so fast, it cause me to have A LOT of lose skin and stretch marks. Ever since then I was so disgusted with my body and hated the way I looked. I deployed in 2015 at 165 lbs for a year and found that working out was a stress reliever for me. Also, I started meal prepping (chicken veggies and pasta) since I didn’t care for the food. Next thing I knew, I fell in love with the gym and my body (except for my stomach). I am now 144 lbs and this is the smallest I have ever been in my entire life. This year (2017) has been the worst year for me, mentally and emotionally. I suffered through severe depression and anxiety and I have lost all of my self confidence because of the events that have happened. I worked out often as it helped with my depression and I did not want to be on medication. I am happy to say that I no longer have depression or anxiety. If I do find myself feeling sad, I throw on some workout clothes, braid my hair and take my ass to the gym. After words I feel amazing!!!
Anyway, I feel it is the best time for me to go through with the tummy tuck and I would like to eventually do body building competitions (bikini) and would like to work on my self confidence and loving myself. I have my consult with Dr. Brown in Scottsdale Arizona on Thursday. I’m super excited to meet him. I’ve read many reviews on here about him and have seen photos of his tummy tucks which I am very pleased with.
~Here to the beginning of my journey! Cheers ????

I found my surgeon!

Hello ladies! So I had my consult with Dr. Brown today and I cannot say enough good things about him and the staff. I felt very comfortable with him right away, I’ve done a lot of research on different plastic surgeons in the area and glad that I decided to go with him. The thing I like about him the most is that he has a passion for his work. He has done a lot of reconstructive surgeries and based off of what I can tell truly cares about his patients and understands that his work drastically changes the lives of people...rather it be breast reconstruction, lipo or in my case a tummy tuck.
I had breast augmentation surgery prior and was not impressed with my plastic surgeon after my procedure. I felt like I was just another patient of his. When I went in for a post op and told him about the amount of pain I was in and the muscle spasms that I was having from my neck all the way down my arm. He literally did not care and told me the muscle spasms had nothing to do with my breast augmentation and walked out of the room. After dealing with a surgeon like that, I am glad that I found Dr. Brown as him and his staff care about their patients.
