Pre-op Consultation with Nurse Kim C and Dr. Rose
I had my consultation with nurse Kim on 02-05-23. The staff at the office were very calm, inviting and caring that it made me feel much more comfortable with the whole process. They discussed everything that I was interested in with detail and never pushed more procedures like some doctors do. Very, warm, kind and it felt like they truly were there to help you through every step of the way!
I had my appointment with the lovely and especially kind Dr.Rose today (09-05-23) to discuss what to move forward with and the same calm, comfortable energy from my talented Doctor as well. Her language indicated that she’s not the type to book patients in for as many procedures regardless of the risk. She was very informative with all that I was interested in. She stated she doesn’t like if a surgery might go past a certain time frame cause she does not put her patients at risk. Instead of trying to sell me more procedures she listened to my concerns and respected my goals and plans. I point that out because I’ve had a doctor before who I went in for one concern and he pointed out 7 that never bothered me. Bless those Doctors who care for their patients as human beings and not as credit cards!
Well my surgery is to be on the 24th and I’ll try to update day by day the first week, update of the second week and follow ups.

Anyways day of surgery the took my vitals, got me dressed and marked up, took a few meds before surgery, met the anesthesiologist and calmly and gently they got me ready before I drifted off to IDunnowhereland!
It was a calm, supportive, kind and gentle experience which is night and day from my previous experiences with other clinics/surgeons. Everyone there are gems.

So I went home about an hour after my surgery with no pain or discomfort just dizziness and lots of nausea but that’s due to the Percocet(I always feel sick with it)! I took that nasty drug after I got home and vomited again(2pm), so I switched to T3(8pm) and was able to keep liquids and food down like the Lipton soup which they sent home with me! So delicious that my sister went to buy me some!

Day two: been able to drink eat noodle soup no problem. But I feel sore like I’ve been doing crunches and when I move around I have to walk almost 90 degrees lol it’s strange feeling but I’m hoping nothing is wrong with the incision(I’m scared to look)
I was however sent a surgical video that they made and possibly post on Dr. Rose’s instagram. I can’t wait to see the before and after the bandages and binder are off next week!
