lack of professional and terrible postoperative care.

I am a certified doctor in the USA, who started suffering from Asia syndrome (Rejection of breast implants) for approximately 4 years. I could remain silent but it is my responsibility as a Woman, Mother and Doctor to publicly denounce what I had to live, not only me but other women with this Doctor at the NUDAH clinic in Santo Domingo, DR so that other women are not victims of a similar situation.

My experience with Dr. Almanzar, whom I followed on social networks for more than a year, has been one of the worst in my life.

When I contacted the medical team of Dr. Gustavo Almanzar, I was attended by his assistant Catherine, to whom I explained my health condition with Asia Syndrome in detail. After several days they answered offering me several quotes for a Mastopexy without implants and Tummy Tuck. The surgery was scheduled for March 13. I was sent a list of what I had to do as well as the form of payment (500 NON-REFUNDABLE dollars), to separate the procedure and the rest in CASH (because the gentleman does not accept bank transfers) something that exposed me in danger by carrying almost 15 thousand dollars in cash to cover the surgery and other expenses. Something very questionable due to the issue of tax evasion in my country.

Within the Preoperative indications I was recommended by Dr. Gustavo Almanzar to stay at Gardenia Recovery Home (owned by his assistant Catherine) where cash was stolen from me during my stay, where they have staff who are not certified nurses, where they did not help me bathing while recently operated and where the drainage of the tummy tuck was NOT monitored or cleaned, even though it had been recommended by the surgeon in the post-operative instructions and I required it because I am a doctor and I know about. This brought me a complication due to the obstruction of the drain and caused me a traumatic event of unbearable pain to uncover it.

The first irregularity I noticed was that in Nudah, the doctor's clinic, the laboratory staff took blood from me and two colleagues without wearing gloves.

My surgery was performed on March 13, 2023, and Dr. Alamanzar saw me for the first time IN PERSON ON Thursday, March 23, 2023 (that is, a week and a half later, I have proof of everything). During that period, only his staff contacted me by WhatsApp and they healed me twice a week. TO ME THIS WAS UNACCEPTABLE.

I felt completely abandoned by him as a doctor. He gave me a very bad allergy in the entire abdominal area, that day he saw me they injected me with steroids without any improvement, which I notified his assistants via WhatsApp the next day. I requested that they refer me to a Dermatologist, without any response from them. IT TOUCHED ME WHEN I WAS IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY, on a Friday afternoon. I went out to look for a dermatologist to treat my allergy because the burning was unbearable and I WOULD NOT LET ME SLEEP.

The staff (Catherine, Wendy and Arianna) were friendly just before the surgery. As soon as they operate on you, their sympathy changes and if you start to claim your rights and complain, they treat you like despots. The only person who showed human empathy from that staff was the nurse.

In my initial interview with him, being a patient with Asia Syndrome, I requested a biopsy not only of my breast tissue, but also of the implant capsule that was removed, because it is recommended to rule out malignancy. Dr. Almanzar only performed a biopsy of the breast tissue, NEVER OF THE CAPSULE, despite the fact that he had requested it and it was included in the estimate. NOW I REMAINED FOREVER WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT I HAD INSIDE MY BODY.

In my last appointment with him, the stitches were not removed and he wanted me to stay in the country for another week without justification because I lasted 18 days after my surgery when he only demanded 14, to of course give Gardenia Recovery Home more benefits.

Upon arrival in the United States, I will remove the stitches by myself (I am a doctor), the nurse contacted me via WhatsApp 3 weeks later (I have proof) where I told her that my breast was emanating a yellowish silky discharge. She only told me to clean myself with alcohol and put on Tecasol. Dr. Gustavo Alamanzar never contacted me, not even a voice note or a video camera, something so easy, to see my breast, not even having 30 days after the operation and supposedly being included in the $13,200 that I paid him.

VERY FRUSTRATING REALLY. IN ORDER NOT TO GO SO MUCH INTO THE STORY, I HAD TO LET HIM KNOW THAT I WAS WILLING TO SUE HIM, THAT I MADE HIM RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED TO ME DUE TO THE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT OFFERING ME A PROPER AND RESPONSIBLE POST-OPERATIVE CARE.
I had to go back to the DR (4/26/23), and demand that he see me because another surgeon would not get involved in treating me while I was under the supposed 47-day post-operative care.

IF THEY DID THAT TO ME EVEN KNOWING THAT I WAS A CERTIFIED DOCTOR IN THE UNITED STATES, AS WELL AS OTHER WOMEN WITH WHOM I SHARE MY SURGERY PERIOD, I don't want to imagine what those women who have no voice will be like.

Be careful and do not look at a social media profile, where only influencers are treated as all patients should be treated just for the sake of BUSINESS.

Investigate, guide and it is better to learn from other people's experiences than from your own. THE GREATEST THING THAT ONE HAS IS LIFE AND WHAT A TERROR IT WAS TO HAVE EXPOSED LIFE WITH PEOPLE SO IRRESPONSIBLE WHO ONLY LOOK AT AND TREAT THE PATIENT AS AN OBJECT, WITHOUT CHARITY AND WITH THE SIGN OF DOLLAR.

I await my testimony of which I have proof and it is the truth, it can help many women before undergoing surgery with Dr. Gustavo Almanzar.
