I no longer have to suck in my “mom pooch"!

WORTH IT
I still can not believe I have a flat tummy. I have to remind myself all the time that I don’t have to suck in anymore.
My belly is still numb but, I am totally healed and back to regular activity. I still struggle to lay on my belly but it’s not a big deal.

Tummy Tuck with Liposuction
I have been self conscious with my belly since after having two kids. I scheduled my consultation with Dr. Durnen and immediately felt comfortable. The staff of the office and her were great. I’m 4 weeks post op and couldn’t be happier. I no longer have to suck in my “mom pooch!” Its great!

You look great! It’s awesome that you are so thrilled with the surgery. I’m considering surgery because I’m self conscious of my “mom pooch” too. I’m extremely nervous about the recovery though.
So recovery was not bad at all. The first 2/3 days my husband had to help me out of bed to the bathroom. I got my surgery on a Thursday and I was taking my daughter to school on Monday. I also got my muscles tighten. That was a weird tight feeling. It was gone by day 6/7. My incision had a tight feeling but by 3 1/2 weeks I can’t notice it as much. My swelling has gone down tremendously. I wear compression on/off bc I get tired of it. Haha. I recommend a wedge pillow for your back. Prop your knees up with a pillow. If you have someone who can help you the first week you will be great. My husband had to do the cleaning for a couple of weeks but honestly I could of done it after week one. My drain output increased so I had to take it easy bc I wanted to go back to work after two weeks. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. It’s totally worth it. 100%.
Btw if your close to bowling green Ky. I have two great plastic surgeons I could recommend for ya.
Thanks for your response. Your recovery is going really well! I would have my husband available to help me. I was figuring I’d need 6-8+ weeks before I started feeling like doing things. Amazing to me you returned to work so soon. You mentioned the drain...was it awful to deal with?
No I don’t live in that area.

The drains were just annoying. They were not painful. Even when I got them pulled they did not hurt.
Good to know! Thanks! Hopefully you are doing even better now that your a few more days into recovery.
