My overall experience with Dr Murat and his team was positive. Being a English speaking person coming from London there was nothing complicated or hard to understand. I was so anxious about the journey and having this surgery in a different country especially with things you hear on the News about having surgery abroad but I'm glad I chose Doctor Murat. I am very happy with my results. Honestly, everybody involved in my aftercare was very attentive and reassuring as I was a nervous wreck. From the airport, to the hospital and then the hotel, everything ran smoothly. The driver who picked us up from the airport drove very well, I felt comfortable and safe during all my transfers. He drove me back and forth to all my appointments while I was there and also back to the airport when I was ready to leave. The lady that first greeted us when we got to the hospital was so lovely and kind she explained what was going to happen and if we had any questions she put me at ease instantly she took me to get my bloods taken and showed us to a restaurant where we were able to relax and unwind before our room was made available to us.

Doctor Murat did a fantastic job and really listened to what I wanted. I have a relatively thin scar that can be hidden with my knickers. I've had doctors in the UK comment on how good my scar looks. I asked doctor Murat for a low scar line which he has achieved. I’m about 9 months post surgery and very happy with my results (but regret not getting lipo,, if only I could go back in time lol) I LOVE my belly button, It's so cute it has a nice tear drop shape and looks very natural. The hospital was very clean and comfortable. You get your own room with a toilet and shower. My mum was able to stay with me through my journey. While in the hospital they provided a chair that folded out into a single bed for her to sleep on. We had our meals brought to us. The food was okay although, I didn't have much of an appetite after my operation (sorry). A BIG shout out to the team of nurses that took care of me. The first 3 days were ruff- pain wise, I was provided with strong pain killers so I was more comfortable and was encouraged to walk around but definitely felt nervous to move however, moving helps the recovery part of things. I was able to move around a little on the first day but felt like a train wreck. After the 3nd day I really began to feel more comfortable especially once the drains were removed. (Getting the drains removed doesn't hurt, it’s just a little uncomfortable) As the days went by I was able to walk and stand for longer. We moved to the hotel after the second night. The hotel was also very nice and clean. The buffet style breakfast at the hotel was perfect. It had everything you could want or need for breakfast. I'm originally from London so as I said before had to fly in, I spent 7days in Istanbul. I felt fine to get on the plain after 7days although after the first day of surgery I didn’t think I would be able to. I was surprised how fast I recovered. I was also cleared by Doctor Murat himself to fly back home. There was ongoing communication through out this whole process even after I got back to London. Unfortunately I development two small seromas near my scar line, a seroma is a collection of fluid that your body is unable to absorb or get ride of although it’s fairly common after surgery, not everyone will end up with this particular complication. The limthatic massages post surgery and compression is so important and can help the body to get ride of the fluid on its own- (which is exactly what happened with mine by the time I completed all my massages my seromas was gone. (I had a scan to be certain.) I had about 15 massages in total not including the massages I had in Turkey….I want to be completely open about my whole experience but I don't want to take away from my overall experience. My only negative criticism is After My Surgery - I don't think I was mentally prepared for the instant shock of pain as soon as I opened my eyes, I assumed the pain would slowly ease in after a woke up but that wasn’t the case it was instant. I remember calling out for someone saying “can anyone hear me?” “Please can someone hear me?” but I don't think anyone could because of a lady that was screaming in the bed next to me. Eventually a nurse come over, I told her “I need to sit up.” because my bed was left flat “and I think my garment is to tight.” She moved the bed into the sitting up positions which made me more comfortable but she didn't touch my garment. I told her to loosen my garment because I can’t breath but she ignored me. My body began to shack uncontrollably she reassured me that it is normal. She said “your just in bit of shock but it will pass soon.” which it did. I felt cold so she covered me with a sheet. Then they moved me back to my hospital room where my mum was waiting. I laid in pain far awhile before my meds were sorted. seemed like I was waiting forever but it was probably less than 30mins When the nurse eventually came in, to give me some pain killers, I told her, “I think my garment is too tight.” She replied “It will feel like that.” I said “please, can you check it.” When she pulled the sheet down to look, she instantly rushed to undo my garment she said it was on the wrong setting. After surgery my garment was put on the last setting but should have been put on the first setting. I felt frustrated because initially no one was listening to me and it added to my overall pain. This part of my experience was quite traumatic but my only negative comment. After my garment was put on the correct setting and I was giving my pain killers, I began to feel a lot more comfortable and the nurses checked on me regularly also doctor Murat came to see me after my surgery to check me over and make sure I was comfortable with my pain meds. Everything ran smoothly after that and I had no other issues or problems. Although I didn’t have 360 Lipo which was my choice. I’m still extremely happy with my results and I would. I hope to go back to Doctor Murat in the near future maybe for that lipo. Lol
