Not Happy
It took me while to gather up the courage to write this. I had surgery with Dr. Zuckerman in June of 2020 for tummy tuck and BBL (buttock augmentation with fat transfer.). At first Dr. Zuckerman appeared personable and optimistic about my expectations. This was before I made my commitment and paid a small fortune for my procedure. My tummy tuck ended up leaving me with a shelf that was even more prominent than the original hanging skin that I wanted to remove. Dr. Zuckerman blamed it on swelling and my own body. My butt seemed to be even more of an upside down triangle shape as it was prior to surgery but now it was just bigger. I did not have the shape that I was hoping to achieve. In November 2020 Dr. Zuckerman performed revision surgery on me. During the revision the tummy tuck scar was pulled down and more fat was liposuctioned from my sides to add to my butt. I should have prefaced this by saying that Dr. Zuckerman was not very eager to do a revision on me. He kept insisting that I look great and so much better than before. I left the office crying on multiple occasions. It's almost as if I paid close to $25,000 for fixing some thing that was wrong with me when actually I paid that money to look the way I want. There was nothing wrong with me other than personal insecurities and unhappiness with my body. This is why we pay plastic surgeons these amounts of money. I believe that there are certain expectations to be had. After my revision I was still left with lumps of fat over my tummy tuck scar and unevenness on the sides which Dr. Zuckerman agreed to liposuction three months following my revision. Right now my sides are still uneven and my butt has a dent on one side which makes me even more insecure than I previously was. The shape also has somewhat of an ant deformity, like my ass is now independent from the rest of me, it just doesn't flow into my body properly. When I voiced my concerns to Dr. Zuckerman he said that there is nothing he can do and offered me another $6000 worth of Sculptra injections to fill in the dent. He also reminded me of all the free work he did after my initial surgery. I found this to be highly offensive as his policy clearly states that revision will be covered at his cost. I don't believe that a reminder of his free time spent on my results was helpful to his character, especially when the end result is still lacking. He also repetitively criticized me for "chasing perfection". I understand that not everyone can have an ideal result but I believe $25k should at least pay for some effort on the surgeon's part. I still have plenty of fat to liposuction and try to fix that large dent in my butt but I simply no longer trust Dr. Zuckerman to do it right. I am posting pictures and whoever reads this can be the judge. I do want to thank Nafijah for her personable character and support.
