WORTH IT
I am 5 weeks post op and feeling really good. I am very pleased and cannot wait for all my swelling to be gone and see my final transformations. I am not very good at taking pictures but hopefully you can tell body changes. I have one wound healing under one breast. It is superficial and I’m told scar will actually probably be better than the other breast.

What date, I'm in October too, starting to get anxious.

I am 51 and I'm having a tummy tuck in February. I'm anxious, nervous but excited. I'm most concerned about the recovery period. I have two children, 16 and 22 but my 16-year-old is very involved in a varsity sport in the high school with a lot of driving around as she does not drive yet! Did you ask for the exparel, the long acting pain medicine? I think I'm going to ask for that. Cost a little bit more but I think it might be worth it. Your recovery seems to be going along great! How is that left breast incision healing?

4 weeks post op

I am 4 weeks post-op and this is my only pesky wound. My PS nurse has been accessible and reassuring that this wound has healthy blood flow. “ I promise- it’s healing! When the edges become more of that “raw” tissue, it can be a little sore, but it is short lived!” Megan is so thoughtful, caring, attentive and smart. I highly recommend Dr. Trovato!

Oh man I'm so sorry it has gotten worse. I pray it starts looking and feeling better. Does hurt a lot?

It is actually getting better as it heals from the outside inwards. I have a little dull nagging pain but nothing much really. It is healthy granulation tissue and blood!

So glad to hear it is not super painful and healing in a healthy manor. Im sorry you're dealing with this. Praying it clears up fast from here forward.

Thank you and best of luck to you! I will post new pictures tomorrow of my 5 week post op. I’m still a little swollen in my lower abdomen but very happy with my results.

A little concerned

beachrn3
I just got out of the shower. My surgery was May 10,2021, so I’m 19 days out. My right breast is healing nicely along with my tummy tuck line but my left breast has me a little worried. Anyone have any similar experience? My PS nurse said keep clean, dry and come in first of the week.

Oh no I hope and pray that stubborn left boob starts healing properly. I had just posted on another persons bio that a while back some said their PS had the apply silver sulfadiazine (antibiotic used for burns) and helped their incision heal quickly. Maybe check with your doctor but I know it is a fine line because they say not to keep the wounds moist with creams. Prayers for your healing.

@Forme74 Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement! I have read several PS comment that this actually is not uncommon with the tension placed on the skin and weight. I’m keeping it clean and covered with dry dressing.

Darn, I wish we could all just heal perfectly. That's what scares me because my job is so demanding I need to be able to get back out there in 3 weeks after surgery. Many women with bumps in the road to recovery have consistently said it is well worth it so I'm not changing my mind and I hope you'll be super happy once you're all healed. You look fabulous already.

I am a nurse and went back to work 2 weeks post-op with 25lb lift restrictions. My lead apron I wear in the operating room was tough last week but I survived. I’m thankful for a long weekend to rest and recover. Good luck with your procedure!

And 3 weeks post and I still am glad I did it! I wish I could could’ve taken 3 weeks off. I honestly feel like that is the perfect amount of time to rest and recover. Praying for you.

Oh yeah I hadn't noticed that :) abd you probably work your butt off as an RN too. I go back day 22 post-op. I was originally going back day 16 but I panicked because lately my legs are aching so bad after an 11or 12 hour shift from standing all day. So luckily I found the coverage for it. I also let my techs and interns know so when I get back they will hopefully help me so I sit for a bit here and there if i need to. The nurse said I should try to get a good balance of both when I return to work. I so wish you could've had a longer time off too.

My sister had the same thing and i was treating and clean it for her. But i just keep it dry from water dobt take shower with it otherwise it will take longer to heal.
