Finally seeing the light
WORTH IT
I’m almost a week post op tomorrow things have been getting better finally! I’m off the pain meds, I’m standing up right about 90% my sister said and I’m at an 80 yr old shuffle vs 90 lol I walked a bit at Walmart yesterday to pick up something’s very exhausting.. my sister also said I fit in nicely at Walmart in my pjs and drain hanging out lol I’m dying to get this drain taken out but no luck yet finally laid in bed with my husband and daughter about midnight I left to my zero gravity chair.. I’m feeling less and less swollen so that’s good my cat is still extra swollen that has not gone down at all! I got back for my week check up on Monday.. oh I did the worst thing yesterday I ate takeout Chinese food instead of my usual chicken and veggies or salad let me tell you I paid for it hard lastnite I definitely will not be doing that again it was horrible! Other than that I’m feeling good my new belly button is cute ! Excited about it

Dying
It’s day 3 I’m dying everything is difficult but I am better than yesterday I’m so swollen everywhere and I went to the dr today I got one drain pulled it was so painful I also got a new smaller garment and it’s much better I just need the days to go by faster

You poor thing. Did you get exparel? What all medications are you on? I'll go back and read to see if you said that already. It's so strange how some people don't feel the drains at all and others feel everything. I hope it continues to get better for you
Oh girl I feel everything!!! I am not on exparel I got Vicodin’s and gabapentin and some nausea stuff and I think it’s Celebrex something for nerve pain I’m not too sure and I’m not getting up to check
Same here! I am on day 4 and still struggling. I'm stiff all the time
Omg we are going thru it together! I did not think it would be this painful am I the only one or did you think so too.. I have thought so many times these past few days “ what have I done what did I get myself into” I know in the end it will be worth it but in the moment it’s hard have you posted any pics I’d love to see how your doing please tell me im not the only one swollen af right above my booty crack ugh it look gross
Omg yes. I had a c section years ago and don't remember it being nearly as bad as this. The first couple nights I cried to my boyfriend saying I made a mistake why did I do this. But he's been really supportive helping me through it. I actually woke up today feeling great. I was able to sleep in bed and get out and up and down the stairs alone. I think the worst part is over. Hope you're doing well!
Congrats, You look amazing!! I'm so sorry you're in so much pain and misery. I pray this week flies for you. Praying your pain eases up quickly, I'll Join you next Wednesday morning at 6am.

Yes I'm excited and nervous!! A whole mix of emotions :0 This week is taking forever, June 16th needs to get here so my mind will stop this crazy:) You rest and heal my dear.

First shower
I showered for the first time today it was painful af! I’m swollen all over I finally got a good view of the new bod it’s very cute but painful and swollen. I got one picture for the update I couldn’t deal with the pain much.. my cat is extra swollen with the drains I’m ready to be over all this pain it’s not fun and not what I expected

The first 3-4 days seems to be the worst. I remember being where you are not to long ago and it’s does get better. I had to set alarms remind me to stay on top of my meds. It will be better, you got this!

I had my TT and muscle repair may 12 and I am still swollen, my stomach looks great but the recovery is hell. my due to return to work and im still struggling to roll out of bed and bend over.
Are you finally able to lay flat in bed!? I can not wait to get back to my bed
hello, actually that's only way I've been able to sleep is on my back propped with pillows. sometimes I sway to my right side with a long pillow, have not been able to sleep on my left side at all. I'm still swollen on my flank areas below my umbilical area my cat is very swollen. it seems like the swelling is moving downward. the massage lady. says its. all. inflammation no fluid. the stomach good but where the swelling is its hard. my birthday June 8 and I can't do much.
When did you start the massages I need to do that you also inspired me to sleep in the bed with pillows it was kinda nice except my cat jumped right on my stomach in the middle of the night and I thought I would die
I started with massages soon as I came back from DR. I went 2 different ones and they don't do the massages like they do in DR. and the fees are
$75-80 which isnt cheap for twice a week. the last masseuse told me to just call her when like I needed loosed up. so that's. what. I will do. I just order and a hand held infrared massager from Amazon that. has great reviews that im going to try out. a lot of the girls that had work done in DR Also recommended. I'm glad the back sleeping is working for you. I've been getting good rest like that.
