Dr.Anzarut has been great from the beginning of my research to now. I am not 3.5 weeks post op. I feel like he truely cares about his patients and has answered all my questions in a timely matter. He gives you his personal number to contact him at any time during them early post operative day. That came in handy a few times and he never seemed annoyed when I would reach out. His after care and communication have gone beyond my expectations.
I unfortunately don’t have the cutest belly button right now due to a surgical complication. That has caused me sone sadness. However, he is willing to fix that as soon as it’s safe to do so. Other than that I am loving my results so far. I can’t wait to see what it all looks like once the swelling continues to go down. Can’t thank him enough for the life changing surgery.

Revision needed on bellybutton
Makingchanges2024March 18, 2024
Feel pretty depressed about my bellybutton at the moment. When I woke up I was told that my bellybutton was turning white when he sewed it down how he normally does. Meaning he thought it was lacking oxygen so he released some in the stitches which left me with a massive outie. Not joke it looks like a protruding cat butthole. I know he did what he knew was best in the moment I just wish things turned out differently for me. I’m now left feeling so self conscious and depressed about it. I got this surgery to feel confident in my skin but now I feel worse than I did before. He told me it will go down and go in as things settle but it may take 6-12 months for that improvement. There is NO WAY I can wait that long looking like this. We are hopefully going to talk about revising it at my next follow up. I’m hoping asap so I don’t have to spend another summer covered up.

You look so beautiful! I know you’re disappointed in your belly button but it’s not unattractive at this time. I know what you want, however. See what he says about another surgery; maybe he can do it in the office under local anesthesia would be a lot cheaper. Please don’t feel like you have to cover up for it, you should still plan on getting a little sunshine on your body . I think it might cheer you up and give you a little more confidence. This is temporary whether you do surgery or wait a few months for the button to go in. After all you’ve been through, you can handle this.

4 weeks Post op
Makingchanges2024March 18, 2024
Just wanted to give a 4 week update. Still hating my bellybutton, and still keeping it covered. I can’t wait for my follow up in a couple of weeks to hopefully come up with a plan to fix this asap. I’m miserable about it. I feel like with plastic surgery we have an idea of what we want and think it’s going to be perfect right away. However, it doesn’t always pan out that way and that’s just part of it all.
I do want to say that my incision is looking pretty good from the tummy tuck. The cut is thin and healing nicely. All the clips that he had glued on to keep the tension off my incision have fallen off. Which by the way, I loved the clips being on there. Nothing was able to rub on my cut and they held up for almost 4 weeks. I’m still sore in the spots he did lipo, or maybe I should say more of a tender feeling. I’m still pretty swollen and even more so by the end of the day. I have been doing daily walks and trying to get an average of 10,000 steps a day. I can’t wait to start going back to the gym to lift weight.
Each day I feel like I’m getting back to my normal self. It’s not a sprint it’s a marathon.

You look fabulous! I had lipo hips, lower back and that armpit bra-fat 2 weeks ago. Bruises are gone, no swelling but feel kind of tender and like I have sunburn. Is this what you feel in your lipo areas? I was told that this is the nerves “waking up” and growing back. How painful is this to you? What do you do about this discomfort to make it better?

Congratulations on doing something for you. Did you get it done with the same Dr? I had lipo don’t to my bra roll, flanks and I believe under my breast area. I wouldn’t explain it like a sunburn. My lipo feels more numb and the muscles in the spot are sore. I don’t know to to explain it. More of deep ache. Not really pain and no constant only here and there or when I get stiff. For the first 2-3 week I felt like my hips were so swollen and I would get the sensation of water rushing to that area like water balloons being attached to me when standing up. 4 weeks out and I don’t get the balloon feel as much more so just tight and numb feeling. I’m also annoyed at feeling trapped like I can’t do more. I expected to feel more like myself by now.

I went through a 16 hour back surgery almost two years ago and experienced some weird pain post op, still have numb areas. The expected recovery time was A YEAR- and they weren’t kidding. Emotionally, can be hard. Emotionally, recovery felt like I was trying to run in waist deep water and get somewhere fast. Eventually I learned to think like “the time will take what it takes”. I expected pain and some degree of disability at least temporarily. Had to make peace with that.
Your body has been through a lot! Progress is happening- you look wonderful. The rest, we can’t control. Thank God no infection! That’s a very tough setback for some.
The little cat butt you see on your tummy is expected to recede with little more time. (that was the funniest thing you said lol. Not making fun of you, I promise, and it’s barely noticeable). Your results overall are really beautiful- wouldn’t say if it wasn’t so.
With ya with the slow dissipation of aspects of the pain. Sunburn isn’t quite it. Skin is sensitive and tender to barely touching it. Underneath, painful like bruising. Feels better when not touching it. Can’t STAND the binder anymore. No swelling anyway so I don’t feel I need it. Anyway, asking my pain doctor for gabapentin for nerve pain. Waiting to hear.
Wish I could help you feel better about feeling trapped. I am just going to suggest you try to focus on what makes you feel empowered. Your experience posted to share is going to touch a lot of people on this site. Your experiences, frustrations and responses really matter. Since you’ve been slowed down significantly, maybe you’re meant to be doing more activities like this temporarily.
I hope you feel better and energized with every day. Hang in there, Beautiful!
Sorry I’m such a chatterbox!!
