Tummy Tuck with Lipo...You Deserve This!

I love my results so far! My procedure was scheduled for 3/8/21 and I am almost 2 months post op. Dr. Hoffman gave me my pre-baby belly back! I decided to finally get this procedure after having my last child. I waited a year to fully heal before researching doctors. The most important things to me when searching for surgeons were:
1. Bed side manner
2. Quality results
3. Availability for post op care/issues
I knew I wanted to stay local (even if it meant spending more $) due to the fact that this was a big decision and in the event there are any issues, revisions needed I could go into the office. Also, I have a husband and three kids (youngest 15 months at the time) so traveling wasn't an option for me. I interviewed a few surgeons in the Philly area and from the moment I interviewed Dr. Hoffman, I knew he would be the surgeon for me. My first consult was in December 2020 and it was virtual due to Covid, even with the virtual consult Dr. Hoffman was very personable, knowledgable and encouraged me to ask questions. When I came into the office for my first visit, his staff treated me very well and explained everything. Dr. Hoffman made the recommendation that I get lipo to the lower back, flanks and upper abdomen area to maximize my tummy tuck results.

The surgery was performed in the hospital and on the day of my procedure everyone treated me with care and made sure to introduce themselves and explain the procedure. Due to Covid I couldn't have anyone with me at the hospital and I thought I would be nervous but everyone kept me at ease and I felt like I was in good hands. The procedure felt like a minute and when I woke up a few of the nurses and Dr. Hoffman made sure I was feeling ok. Dr. Hoffman called my husband to let him know how the procedure went and the staff called him as well to let him know when he could pick me up.
Procedure pros:
1. High recommend this surgery. I can finally see my cha cha (lady parts)
2. Scar is not as bad as I imagined. I hesitated getting this surgery for fear of an ugly scar but Dr. Hoffman used a surgical glue so I definitely think that made the difference from other results I have seen.
3. Belly button- This was my biggest hang up getting the surgery, I literally looked at surgeons before and after photos to see how patients belly buttons looked. Ultimately Dr. Hoffman passed the belly button test.
4. Ironically my booty looks bigger! A few people have asked me if I got a BBL and I think its mostly due to the fact that I already had a little booty and hips pre surgery but you couldn't tell as much due to my belly. Now that my waist is a lot smaller, the lower back lipo really helped shape my back and side profile.
5. I feel really sexy and can't stop looking at my body in the mirror. I have been able to order new clothes that I couldn't wear before due to trying to hide my belly. I was wearing a size 4 jeans but I would always order high waist jeans and the tops I would get in a medium to allow room to hide my hanging belly due to 3 full term pregnancies.
Procedure Cons:
1. The lipo recovery was worse than the TT. I anticipated so much pain from the incision that I completely forgot about the lipo. I cried a few days after surgery when the pain really kicked in and it was the areas he did the lipo that hurt the most.
2. The compression garment they give you in the office isn't the best in terms of comfortability, I was in an XL when they measured me for the garment and the snaps at the crotch were too wide and hurt . I waited until I was 3 weeks post op and got my own garment ( I am now in a size small)
I would rate this doctor a 10/10 for professionalism, bed side manner and overall quality of work! I am still in recovery as I know it takes up to 6 months to see final results and up to a year to fully heal. I also have been doing light exercise since I work from home and don't want to be stationary during my healing process and I have been more conscious of what I eat which I think is key to really getting the best results. When I started I was in a XL compression garment and I have just moved into the small. I am thinking about going back to get a breast lift in a few years!

So far so good. I have added some light ab exercises to my routine. I can’t wait to see how I look at 6 months. These were photos taken in his office and show what I look like before and after. I can definitely see the transformation and still love the way I look.

I had my 6 month post op appointment a few days ago! Scar is itchy at times but so far so good. I have been consistent with my light exercise routine and my measurements are 34/28/39. I was 146 the day I went in for surgery and I currently weigh 129lbs which is a comfortable weight for me and I don’t have to really purchase a lot of new clothes since I am pretty much in the same size I was pre-surgery.
