Tummy Tuck with Lipo: I'm 39 year old mom of two young and adorable toddlers.

Tummy Tuck with Lipo

WORTH IT
I'm 39 year old mom of two young and adorable toddlers. I don't want to say they ruined my body, lol, but pregnancy and childbirth did affect my figure. I'm 5'5" and 142lbs. Even Though I do Pilates and cycling and other gym classes almost 5 days a week, I still can't lose that fat around my torso area. After years of thinking and months of planning. I decided to go with the surgery to get the ideal results. I had my TT and Lipo on 2/17. The surgery took about 4 to 5 hours. My surgeon Dr Jaime Schwartz is very precise and patient and a perfectionist that's why I decided to go with his team. I do have to say, it was almost the worst pain I had experienced in my life other than that one time I had a second degree burnt on my arm. Fortunately, it was just the day of and after surgery, by day 2 post op, I only had to take Motrin to control the pain. However, I go with the no drain method which means I'm wearing the compression garments day and night. It's actually not as bad as I've imagined. The garments gave me lots of support and it helps with the back pain besides keeping the swelling down. Even though, now the itching is starting, I'm a bit worried how this will go for the rest of the weeks.I slept on the recliner at night and it helped a lot. I saw my scar the first time on day 4 post op when the NP cleaned and changed the tape around the scars. I'm happy to see how low it is. Now it's day 5 post op, I'm overall optimistic with the process and eager to see the results after the swelling subsides. Will continue to update my reviews

What compression garment are you using?

I had a TT the same day. Are you still wearing you compression garment through week 6 are calling it quits at the start of week 6? I’m so sick of mine. Also, did your dr suggest anything to minimize the scar or scar therapy? Your scar looks great just interested in any suggestions.

Marena Recovery Knee-Length... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078SZTZD4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I'm size medium before the procedure but I got the small. It's a bit tight the first a few days but gotten so much better by the end of the week. I got it around week4

I used silicon tape to cover it since week two. And I started putting on Vaseline before putting the tape back on after shower this week felt it helped a lot! And yes. I'm still wearing the compression garment. I got an extra one that goes around the waist as I started doing some exercise at home . The doc recommended extra support during exercise

Thanks for this suggestion. I’m going to research that silicone tape and get some now! Happy healing!

Can I ask how much the procedure cost you?

Yes. It's about 12grand. But considering the result and the convenience of the location for me, plus he's a very respectable surgeon with a great track record, so it's worthy very penny I've spent:)

First shower

I just took a shower on Day 6 post op. And I’m able to take some better pictures to show the progress. Overall, the swelling hasn’t come down a whole lot but I can see the difference from day 4 already. And I feel I do have more bruises than some other people. Wondering why

Hi..thanks for sharing. The bruising looks painful. Seems some just bruise more than others. You're really gonna love your new body when healed. Wishing you continued healing.

Thank you:)

Wow he's expensive. Did he really charge $15,000???
February 25, 2020
In my case, yes. And I know it's over the higher end in my area. I have made multiple consultations with different providers in Marina Del Rey and Beverly Hill and were quoted anywhere between 10,000 to 16,000. Don't wanna travel far for this and since most of the heat ones are in these areas. And I decided to go with Dr Schwartz because of his demeanor and reviews. And it's way too early to say I'm happy with the results. But the cares I've received and the cut and stitches I've seen so far all made me feel it's well worthy

I'm going to Barbados to Dr. Gregory Crichlow. I found him on ig. His work is next to none!
I knew I was going to a country with low cost of living because the surgery is significantly cheaper but the quality can still be amazing as well. He quoted me $4,000 usd. And that's for lipo 360, bbl and tummy tuck.
I'll still have to pay for the recovery house stay but I'm cool with that. $15,000 just seems like extortion. For $15,000 I need to have gotten multiple things done.

If that includes OR and anesthesia along with surgeon fees, it sounds about right. Lipo appears extensive, it takes up a lot of OR time in addition to abdominoplasty.

Thanks for the feedback and yes. My surgery took about 4 to 5 hours

No 15,000 is ridiculous. Not for one body part.

Did you have muscle repair? And did you get Exparel numbing? I scheduled my TT (along with lip of waist and back bra rolls) for June 18th, to say I am nervous is an understatement. I will only have 4 weeks to recover and go back to work - which is working with 3-5 year olds with special needs. Dr. doesn't think I'll need muscle repair so I am told recovery will be easier. Thanks!

I had muscle repairman just above my bellybutton. Beside the swelling around that area goes down a lot slower then other places I didn't notice much other difference. overall my recovery is going pretty well. I just went back to work today after 10 days of rest. I had to be on my feet a lot but I do get to sit down from time to time also. It was tiring but nothing I couldn't handle. And luckily, I only work part time. I tried to be as active as I coould since day 3 post op once I didn't have to take the narcotics for pain. I think with 4 weeks of recovery, you will definitely be ready for work. Best is luck!

How’s your recovery going? I was told 6 weeks before going back to work. She said maybe 4 if I can take breaks. I also have a toddler and I worry I won’t be able to lift in for 6 weeks. I can only get help for 2 weeks then I’m on my own.

The recovery is going very well. Just added some update today I think it'll help with your questions. Also... I had to lift my 28 lbs toddler twice very briefly on day 2 post op... it wasn't pleasant but thank goodness for all the leg workouts I've done in my life, it didn't really hurt my back. So yes, you will be able to lift your kid a lot sooner than you think and it's okay as long as you do it carefully. #momlife

Starting to see more progress

The pain is 95% gone! Only a bit soreness at certain areas if I pressed on it. I went back to work yesterday on day 11 post OP. I was on my feet, standing Or walking around about 40% of the time at my job. And I was tired at the end of the day but it’s totally bearable. Took the third shower today and washed the binders. Glad to see the swelling in the front has gone down a lot. But I’m a bit worried about the swelling on the side around my hip areas. I hope that’s just temporary but not left over fat:(Here are some new pictures
