Tummy Tuck with Lipo — I couldn’t ask for more

ORIGINAL POST

Tummy Tuck with Lipo- I Couldn’t As for More

WORTH IT$4,900
I will try to give as much details as possible so as to help others as I’ve been helped in the past through reading reviews.
For months I was back and forth between doctors and I decided on Dr. Mejia and was about to pay my deposit. But out of curiosity I was on realself and saw where someone made mention of Dr. Mota and From then I became obsessed with his work, especially his Tummy Tuck scars! I reached out to him via WhatsApp and email and within a day I received a response from him on WhatsApp asking me the basic questions in order for me to receive a quote. I also received an email from his assistant asking for the same information.
I submitted my response and received a quote two days after. It was slightly more than what I received from Mejia however, I just knew I should go with Dr. Mota. I paid my deposit and gave his assistant my date which she said was available l but because of some error I was changed to a few days later. I was upset but Dr. Mota sent a voice note explaining what had transpired which I really appreciated.
I also paid my deposit of $110 for Spa Medical recovery house for 8 days. That deposit only covered transportation. I didn’t want to be away from home that long hence the short stay. I arrived in DR on May 9 and was picked up at the airport by Ricardo a taxi driver sent by the recovery house. He didn’t speak English but that was fine as he was still quite helpful and understood when I said I was hungry lol.
He took me to Plastimedic where I met Analis who is Dr. Mota’s Assistant, completed my paper work, did all my post operative tests and FINALLY........met Dr. Mota. He was receptive, polite and down right honest. He normally requests that his patients arrive 2 days prior to surgery but I wasn’t aware of that. Because of this he was apprehensive and asked that I do a Doppler test which I did. He asked what I wanted to achieve and I told him. I went with the intention of doing bbl but my spouse was against it and Dr. Mota agreed. He said he wouldn’t do a bbl but he would Lipo so fat from my lower back just for enhancement which I agreed to. I then made payment and asked his assistant who speak English very well if she could be my overnight nurse.
My surgery was then scheduled for May 10 and was to to arrive at Plastimedic at 10am. On my arrival I met with the assistant and she took me to the third floor where I waited for about 3 hours. Whilst there Dr. Mota came and spoke with me briefly. I waited another hour and Analis came and got me. I went to see Dr. Mota and his wife to get maked up. His wife did the markings with such intricacy and attention lol. Like she was painting. I appreciated that. Dr. Mota was there the whole time.
I was taken back to the 3rd floor where I waited for a few minutes then at about 2pm I was taken to a room and asked to remove my clothes and put on a gown. After that a two nurses came in and this is where things got real..... I received 9 injections on both my arms because they couldn’t find a vein to put the IV. They didn’t speak English so I had a warm time. I wasn’t mad because it normally takes a while given how thin and small my veins are.
I was then taken to the theater where the anesthesiologists administered something in my IV & like that I was OUT. (No blue pill like I’ve read:) )
I woke up about 10:30pm FREEZING!!!!! Analis was there and she tried her best to get me warm and I was out again. I woke up again asking her to call my family and she informed me that she had already spoken with my husband and my sister and I was out again.
Nurses came in throughout the night to administer pain killer and antibiotic and check pulse and pressure. Oh, I was in my faja and compression socks when I woke from surgery. In the morning I was given tea and jello. I was sore and weak. Dr Mota came and gave me a bag which contained my medications and told me that surgery went well and again pointed out the areas that he operated on.
I was taken to the Recovery House where I was well taken care of by the staff there. I saw Dr. Mota a few days after and he changed my bandages and pointed out an area that he said would even shed and form new skin and he asked that I do Oxygen Treatment whilst I was still in the DR to assist with the healing process. The insurance paid $60us and I ended up paying $40. I also ended up getting back $200 us from Dr. Mota because I didn’t get bbl.
I saw him again before I left and he changed my bandage, removed my drains and asked my to extend my stay again. I couldn’t so he gave me specific instructions which I recorded on my phone so I wouldn’t have to constantly ask. I left on the 17th. I left feeling great about my decision and with my results. I am still swollen and still a bit bent when walking. Dr. Mota still checks on me for an update on my progress which I highly appreciate.
Analis, his assistant can be absent minded but she’s young so she has a little way to go and she’s a respectful patient sweetheart but I kept repeating myself to her sometimes. She is sweet though.
Like I said, I am now 14 days post op and loving my new body and haven’t regretted not doing bbl as I didn’t want to look like everybody else. I am healing and looking better everyday. Still watching my inner thighs as that area was Lipo as well but doesn’t seem to be going down.
Overall I highly recommend Dr. Mota to anyone who wants to feel safe in someone’s hands and not be be treated as just a number. I’ll add photos tomorrow when I take off my faja.
Please forgive any typo if you see them.

Hello do you have a surgery page? And how much did she charge you to stay over night at the hospital with you?
I'm trying to get a reduction and bbl and if it works out I want to try to go before Oct?
What did the surgery room look like?
May 30, 2019
Hi. I do not have a surgery page. She charged $50 us for the overnight stay, which you’ll need. Nurses do come in from time to time to check on you and administer medications however, the overnight nurse stays in the room with you for the entire night.
Plastimedic is a clean building. The doctor’s office is also clean and neatly organized. The surgery room looks like any other surgery room I’ve been to. The only thing is It’s beside another surgery room and when I was taken in I couldn’t see that another doctor operating on someone else. I couldn’t see the person nor the equipments I could only see the doctor as he or she was standing. Don’t pay much attention to that though as I was out minutes after.
Overall the entire clinic was clean and welcoming.

Hi why did the Dr not recommend the BBL
June 27, 2019
Because I have enough butt and he wanted I wanted to look as natural as possible

When you say you saw someone else you mean in an entirely different room correct? And thank you so much for your response. I'm really trying to make up my mind.

Yes it was in a different room. Just that it had glass at the top half that’s how I was able to see that it was another operating room.

Did Dr. Mota take out your stitches before you left ?? I seen you went one in 8 days and that how long I would like to stay. I don’t want to stay for 2 weeks. I have a child to get back home to so hopefully I heal as fast as you and get back home

Hey. My stitches were dissolvable so they went away on their own. Dr. Mota was again my short stay which was quite understandable. If I were to do it again I’d stay the two weeks as the plane ride was horrible back to Florida. Plus I ran the risk of blood clots and infection. But thank god I didn’t get any of these.
Talk to Dr. Mota and let him know what your concerns are. He’s quite relatable and honest trust me. I’m 7 weeks in and I spoke with him today. That’s how he is with his patients.

Do you have any recent pictures of your cut. I would love to see how the result are going. I am glad you didn’t get sick after leaving early. I will stay the 2 weeks which is great. I also talk to him yesterday about my hemo it’s 10.8 and I need to raise it.
June 22, 2019
I don’t feel comfortable sharing any more pics than what’s already there. Sorry.
Just know that my cut is really low and almost faded. It was also neatly done. That’s one of the main reason I chose him as my surgeon.

Understandable! Thank You! That is why I am choosing him as well and I can’t wait to get my tummy tuck done!

Good luck. Just take the pills as prescribed and you will be okay. Your hemo will be up before you know it.

Where did you get his contact information? Please, thank you
