Tummy Tuck with Lipo and BBL
This procedure is not to be taken lightly. You really have to do allot of research and kind of figure out on your own how to get yourself better after having this done. You also need to communicate with your doctor to find out what garment he's putting you in after surgery. I think had I been in a better garment early on, I would have been able to do more walking.
My issue was that my binder prevented me from walking. I was in so much pain just getting up, the cotton padding had my stomach feeling as if I was getting poked by something really hot every time I moved, and so after getting put into a medium sized faja the next day that took all the feeling out of my legs, and i ended up cutting off me, I still was not walking as much as I should.
I barely walked for the first 7 days after surgery and that was really, really bad because I ended up passing out at my doctors office after my 7 day post op, then was rushed to the hospital to find out I had Pulmonary Embolism, and had to have emergency cardiac surgery to remove the huge clot on my lungs.
I am now almost 30 days post op and I am finally starting to feel like myself again, even though I still need help. I have not slept on my stomach or my back, to try to preserve what the doctor did. My abdomen is finally looking nice and flat, but this is due to me wearing my compression garment 24 hours a day with lipo boards in the front and the back.
For those of you thinking of doing this, I want you to please do your research. All in all my doctor did a fantastic job on me. I am loving my results even though I know I still have a long way to go. Changing my eating habits is also something I said I would do afterwards. I definitely appreciate the love and care Dr. Ramineni and his awesome staff gave me.
The fault was mine for not communicating appropriately and asking the right questions from my doctor, not researching till it was too late and definitely not ensuring I was in the right garment the first time around.
1. You definitely need someone who can physically lift/carry you (this person should also ensure that you are WALKING)
2. I purchased a few compression garments from amazon and was in them within the second week.
3. You need Lipo boards for your front and back (This will keep your skin smooth and help with the compression)
4. You need to be taking vitamins
5. You need to be eating healthy afterwards for sure. Eating healthy helps ensure that you don't get inflammation. I've seen reviews where people say that they are really swollen at night. It's what you eat during the day. Stay away from salt, processed sugar, milk products and carbs. Eat lots of good protein, fiber, fruits and vegetables.
6. Drinks tons of water to stay hydrated.
These are the things I've purchased that has helped extremely well with my recovery:
- Lymphatic drainage drink
- Shapewear tummy control faja - i purchased about 3 sizes, xxl, xl and l - every week, I lost inches so i went down in size pretty quickly
Abdominal Lipo board for the front)
- Post Lipo back board for your back - this is a lifesaver, my back felt torn to shreds, but using this! OMG, my back doesn't feel any pain
- HealFast - I started these vitamins 5 days prior to surgery then 10 days afterwards
