I've got 30 hours to go before surgery for my Lipo Abdominoplasty. I just want to get it all over with and start the healing process. I'm so nervous tonight with the waiting! I've read so many of your stories on this site and have taken as many as possible, of your hints and tips on board. My husband is to be my main carer, as I've haven't shared this process with anyone else, yet! At this stage I think we'll learn alot about each other! He has been very supportive and encouraging - he wants me to achieve the fit and healthy shape I deserve after 3 heavy babies! Wish me luck ladies - I'll let you know how I get on.

I'm about to go into theatre. I spent yesterday evening being physically sick with nerves. After a restless night with a headache - I'm here - its 7.45am and I'm all marked up and ready to go. All the staff have been very nice and I'm fully confident with my surgeon Doctor Amar Ghattaura and his team at the Nuffield Hospital, Cardiff UK. Onwards and upwards to a new me!

It's over! Now the recovery starts. I'm here in hospital for 2 nights which I'm now pleased about as I feel as if I've been kicked by a horse and its good to have reassurance from the professionals. I've got 2 drains in, a catheter, a canula in my hand to administer drugs intravenously and electronic compression pads on my lower legs. All these are to be removed later today when they'll get me out of bed and walking. I had a rough night as I was suffering from sickness from the anesthetic and was unable to keep food down apart from a piece of toast. I've just managed a bowl of oats and a cup of tea - so far so good. I'm very, very sore and aching but my tummy is flat and looking good it will all be worth it in sure. I'll inspect m tummy and hips closely when I get changed later. Photos to follow. Thanks for reading.
