Extended tummy tuck, abdominal repair, lipo on flanks & 3 drains

A little background, I am one of those women who has struggled with weight fluctuation my entire life. Throw two pregnancies with big babies and two cesarean births, my abdomen was completely wrecked and I struggled deeply with depression and self esteem. In my younger years I had always been athletic so my activities curbed the larger body type I have, but all that feel off with feeling hopeless and defeated.

I overall enjoy being active and strong but now I had this humongous belly and weak abdomen. I literally wanted to hide from the world. After loosing some weight for what seemed like the millionth time, I was heavily researching a tummy tuck.

I was referred to Dr. Daiza from a family member. I had my consultation and it took me a year to finally book my surgery. I still wasn't where I wanted to be in weight, but I never was going to get there anyway with the extra front load I was carrying. Dr. Daiza spoke to me in great detail about what to expect. I felt she always took the time to make sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. I also appreciate that she was forthcoming about realistic results so I didn't ever feel like she was blowing smoke or over exaggerating just to get me to book.

I had my surgery in Feb 2024, I stayed at the PV Surgical Center. My mother went with me and all the staff put myself and her at ease. I had amazing nurses and felt very well cared for. My pain was minimal and I was up and walking later that day. I had an extended tummy tuck with abdominal repair and lipo on the flanks. I also had three drains.

Overall I felt like recovery was very smooth. I had help from my family so make sure you have someone to stay with you. I was provided with everything I needed. I had ordered a post op kit on Amazon but I really didn't need most of it. The binder from the hospital was also more than adequate .

The worst parts were the drains (they pinched from pulling and get annoying after a while), sensitivity and burning from the lipo, and not being able to hold my babies for a period of time.

Dr. Daiza stayed in touch regularly and provided guidance all the way through. Ive had multiple follow ups with very clear instructions each time. I was elated and impressed with how my scars healed especially with how wide I knew they would be. They look amazing. The incision is extremely low and my belly button is perfect as well. I immediately felt a huge mental weight lift when I realized how much mass was gone! With skin removal and lipo she took almost 15 lbs off. When she showed me my before pictures, I couldn't even remember looking like that!

Since then my recovery was great. My overall weight is still a work in progress, but I have not felt this good about my self in a very long time. I have noticed a shift in my social activities, I am wearing certain styles of clothing I could never wear before. Even though there is still work to be done, it was soooo worth it!
