Hope everyone is doing well. Still worth it! My scar isn’t as pretty as I would like - it’s a bit thick and can get itchy. I’ve spoken to Dr. Song about it and he’s willing to revise it. I just need to call and schedule it if I’m going to do it. It’s a trek to get over there and I’m not sure if it is worth it for something no one but my husband and I see and it doesn’t bother him at all. If the revision will help with the itchiness is what m really wondering because that gets to be a pain. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t happen as much when I’m not wearing workout clothes or things tight against my skin so maybe it’s something with the sensations or whatever. Anyway just wanted to update for anyone that cares and that may be considering Dr. Song. It’s been a game changer for me and these pictures are taken at the end of the day. Best of luck to everyone! I still recommend doing the procedure. I’m not totally flat but if you look at my before picture and where I am now, it’s a HUGE difference and my clothes and swimsuits all fit amazing. Love the confidence it has given me and the strength in my core. Back pain is gone completely. Occasional Itching is my only ongoing gripe.

Hi! Feeling great, looking great. Increased focus on diet and exercise - working towards vegetarian but I love a good steak. So usually 1 meat containing meal each week. Trying to get more cardio, I still have a pudge in the upper abdominal area that I believe is visceral fat. I can’t grab it or anything. So I’m hoping to work it off.
I spoke with Dr. Song last week about some pulling I feel occasionally to the left of my belly button and scar concerns. My belly button has healed darker than I was hoping for, but I’m glad he was able to save it since I’d previously had an umbilical hernia repair. He said if I was closer he’d inject it with something, but he didn’t want me to make a trip just for that. He said I could plan to come in at the 6 month mark to talk about scar revision - the sides are a bit thicker than I would like and you can feel the ridge when you move your hand on my body. Mainly the left side - the center is perfectly flat and the right is tolerable. I’m guessing this is because after surgery you’re bent over and not pulling at the front of the incision but you are kind of leaning and rocking from side to side some - this is my non scientific explanation of why that happened. And of course if he can improve the belly button scarring. If not, oh well. Maybe I’ll get a tattoo around it since I still am somewhat numb in the area. About the upper belly pudge, Dr. Song said if it can be lipo’d, he would be happy to do that, but we would evaluate it later and to continue exercising. Dr. Song is great!
My times of frustration are mainly around period times - I get SO bloated. But when that’s over, I’m better and happy again lol. I’ll try and take some pictures wearing panties next time so you can see how low the scar is. I just prefer to show it for updates since I know people want to know specifically how certain doctors do their incisions.
I’m still feeling really tight - my wax person says I have the tight taut belly of a 20 year old. When he told my husband that he had to pull me really tight, I now know exactly what he meant. I don’t know if this will improve. I just don’t stretch too big and I sleep a little bent. I do hope it eventually loosens a smidge.
I don’t regret this decision one bit! It has been life changing. I’ve bought ALL the sexy lingerie, sleep and loungewear, more fitted clothes, gym clothes, and swimsuits ( why??? I don’t live near any water nor do we have a pool). My confidence is through the roof.
I still wear a faja during the weekdays. I’m comfortable without it but I do feel a little bit of discomfort if I’m doing a LOT and I don’t have it on. I’m hoping to be done with it completely by 6 months.
Hope everyone is doing well! Thanks for keeping up with my story! If anyone is reading and considering the surgery - do your research and go for it! You will not regret it! Just do the research first and find a good surgeon. I’d recommend mine!
