15 weeks post op
I’ve had my 3 month post op appointment and my surgeon says everything is looking good. I feel pretty much back to my per surgery self. I’m not experiencing pain, I had one area mid stomach that I would get pain in when I over did it but that’s pretty much gone. I do have to be careful when stretching in my sleep because that does cause discomfort.
I’m still wearing a garment to bed but not durning the day. If I’m at home on the weekend just hanging around the house I’ll keep it on.
My scar seems to be healing nicely, I have one area on my incision that every so often I’ll get a little puss bump. When it burst there is some bleeding and the area is open a little and will take a few days to close back. My surgeon said it maybe a ingrown hair that he may need to go in and remove it if it keeps happening.
Swelling has improved, I’m still my flattest in the morning. Most of the swelling is still in the Mons Pubis but has gotten so much better. I am swollen after my work day but nothing to bad.
I’m so happy with the way cloths fit now, I’m so use to wear oversized shirts I still find myself gravitating to them and have to stop myself. I’ve worn jeans!! Still not 100% comfortable to wear them all day but can tolerate for several hours. So happy I decided to do this I know I’m still healing and I do listen to my body but this surgery has made a huge difference in my confidence.
To everyone thinking about it, do it. Those that are in the healing process, happy healing.

10 Weeks Post Op
I really can’t believe it’s been 2 1/2 months since my TT surgery. At this point I feel like I’m about 90% recovered. I can pretty much do everything I did pre surgery however I’m still listening to my body and it does tell me when to chill if I’m doing too much. The only place I really get pain or discomfort at, is mid abdomen, the area above my belly button. I still get quite a bit of swelling in that area as well. Also my Mons pubis is swelling but it’s slowly and I mean slowly starting to look normal down there. Sneezing isn’t pleasant still, I still brace myself because it does not feel good. Exercise is back to wait I was doing pre surgery as well.
Pre surgery I was 160, after I was down to 156 pounds, now I fluctuate between 158-160. Between it being summer and vacationing my diet has not been the greatest but I’ve concentrated on better this week so hopefully I’ll drop a few more pounds.
Healing still has been uneventful, I’m happy about that and just letting my body recover and looking forward to my final results.
I’m still wearing a control garment durning the day and for sleep. My swelling has gotten better but I don’t think it go all day without a garment better. However starting next week I’m planning on going less hours in the day and see how it does. I’m still using the scar cream and tape but thinking about looking into something else, I have not seen much change in a bit unless I’m just not being patient.
That’s about it for now I’m back in full swing of everyday life and it’s keeping be busy. I hope everyone is having good healing and enjoying or getting to a point where you can enjoy your new body. This recovery requires patience of a saint but I remind myself there is light at the end if the tunnel. Happy Healing!

and I’m really starting to enjoy, embrace and appreciate my new body. Recovery is still going well and uneventful thank goodness. The tenderness for the lipo areas are finally minimum, there are a few spots that I can still feel the tenderness when touched. Still get stiff when I sit to long or when I first wake up and I have found that stretching helps a lot. Pain wise, I will get the pulling feeling, tinges, sharp pain or shocks here and there that will leave just a fast as it comes on. When I’m over active I will get sore and take Tylenol or ibuprofen if needed. Swelling ( picture me rolling my eyes) it’s still a thing but has improved tremendously, it’s mainly over my belly button, along my incision and of course the Mons Pubis. I have one area around the R flank that swells more by the end of the day but I’ve also noticed the area is chunkier than my right side. Don’t know if it’s just my anatomy, but I’m hoping it will go away because is does catch my eye and bothers me just a bit. Any other area that’s still swollen will be a nice surprise when it’s gone. I’m still in a control garment when working/being active and sleeping. I will take it off for a bit if I’m just laying around the house. It’s so weird how cloths feel rubbing on my abdomen when I don’t have a garment on. As much as I’m ready to live my life without a garment, I don’t feel secure without it. My incision continues to heal nicely and looks better every week. Overall, everything is still going well and I’m happy with my results.
Summer vacation: My husband and I went to Hawaii it’s was so good moments and some not so good moments. First off I looked amazing in a bikini in comparison, to only be 6 weeks Post Op and I felt much more confident wearing one, yay! When I was not in a swim suit and just out and about I was in a control garment, not ideal while on vacation in Hawaii. However, I look sooo much better in regular cloths. While in pool the pool or laying out I didn’t have any major issues with swelling, all was good. Laying out at the beach was another story, it started off great then I literally blew up like a blow fish and in no time looked 4-5 months pregnant, my back swelled up to, it was a HOT mess. Not to mention it hurt and we had to abort the beach mission. Once in the car with the AC blasting I started to feel better, got to my control garment, put it back on like my life depended on it and I was back to normal in the morning. That freaked me out and I stuck to the pool after that. Vacation was still great, and I’m looking forward to being fully healed next summer. No garments, no blow fish! The results is still worth it all.
