My Tummy Tuck Journey

WORTH IT
I’m 6 sleeps away from getting a full tummy tuck with two areas of lipo. After 3 kids my stomach has taken about as much as it can and resembles an apron more than anything else these days. My stomach has knocked my confidence for a few years now and I’m looking forward to finally getting it tightened up, being able to wear what I want and not constantly have to think about sucking my gut in. I’ve gone through Harley Medical for my procedure and paid around £8,100. I’m dreading the recovery process but will try and keep this updated along the way to represent my journey along with its highs and lows.

23rd November 2019 and I’m feeling very nervous but excited. The who experience feels surreal right now. I’ve been marked up ready for surgery and the procedure goes goes off without a hitch. My surgeon told me he cut 2kg’s of my stomach off and 1 litre of fat was sucked out. I’m quite pleased with that and so eager to see the results. As the day goes on post surgery my discomfort level varies but I am well taken care of in terms of pain relief. I have to hunch over when I’m moving but that was expected. Getting up and down is quite difficult. Discharge day tomorrow, let’s see how we go

Hello Salmak86
How are you and how did your surgery go? Are you happy with the results, is it worth it?
Best wishes

I’m still quite uncomfortable and the pain relief doesn’t seem to do much other than make me sleepy! I’m currently on codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen as well as antibiotics. I’m managing to get up to go toilet but my lower back hurts a lot. It must be from all the hunching over. On the plus side of things, I’m mobile. Just can’t wait until I can stand up straight.

Take your time, it will work out, stay on your meds and trust that everything will work out. It’s a process but guess what the hard part is over!!! Happy healing!!!
