Really seeing a difference/reduction in swelling from weeks 8 to 12. Patience is key, ladies! (And eating low carb). Really happy with my results so far…and they only keep getting better and better! I’ll post some photos.
My mons area is still the most swollen. You can see that in the side view photo.
Comfort and mobility continue to improve also. Definitely not at 100%, especially when trying to get up from lying down. I have to do a roll to the side and push up with arms, otherwise I get stuck like a turtle. Ha!
I think my surgeon does the BEST most natural looking belly buttons out there. And his tummy tuck in general is superior to most. Very pleased so far.

Improving each week. This week I noticed I was able to walk more straight and get more steps in. I’m also able to get up and down from sitting easier.
I have not moved back to my bed yet. The recliner is just so easy and more comfortable for me right now. In bed, I am normally a side sleeper, but because of swelling in my hips I just can’t get comfortable in that position right now. Maybe in a week or two? I hope!
My belly button is fully healed and no longer all peely-skin looking. It’s cute!! My surgeon does amazing belly button. All the stitching is inside, so there’s no scar ring around the outside like you often see from other surgeons. LOVE my new belly button.
My incision lines all have been AMAZING!!!
I’ve had NO issues at all this entire time with my incisions. I can tell my surgeon really takes his time to close his incisions with precision and detail. I’m thrilled that they looks so good.
I’m also seeing a big difference in my arms this week. They’re looking good! I can actually see my muscles next all the hard work I put into them before surgery.
Swelling is no joke. I eat keto, low sodium, and walk 10k steps a day and I still balloon up. Patience is the game. So I’m trying my best to be patient.
Still having issues with that quilting stitch on my side that has rippled my skin. It’s been a major pain and annoyance this entire time. When I swell at the end of the day, it gets super sensitive, especially because the skin sensation is beginning to return so it feels like someone is jabbing me with hundreds of needles on that hip. Ughhh. I cannot wait for that damn stitch to loosen up and give me some relief. I massage it several times a day, every day and that little sucker is NOT budging!
Other than that hip quilt stitch, I’m feeling good! My bruising is finally gone this week! I couldn’t believe my bruising lasted 5weeks +. Lipo is no joke ladies. It’s totally worth it, but be prepared mentally for it.
