Horrible experience, buyer beware

Dr. Toribio has misrepresented himself in everyway. The Business tactics used are highly unethical and unsafe in every way. In the United States he would be disbarred and ban from ever practicing. The beginning:

step 1 I was to fly on a Monday 09/13/2021 and wait approx 3 days for my surgery 09/16/2021. My Surgery was to consist of the following items: a tummy tuck, a BBL, lipo of my arms,back,thighs,flanks. My first impression wasn’t good and I wish looking back I trusted my gut. I arrived 45 minutes earlier than my scheduled consultation. After waiting 4 hours (8pm keep in mind I’ve traveled all day) finally I was to be seen. Prior to being seen and even meeting Dr. Toribio I was pressured into paying with cash only in full in the amount of $6,000.00 USD. I will admit I was hesitant but I’ve been waiting so long for my dream to come true I went on a leap of faith as one sometimes must do. 

So after i paid I had my consultation and I was on my way. He was very rude to his office staff, the nurses, constantly raising his voice and talking down to his staff like sub-humans. I was in shock at this and requested to cancel and my money back. “ no refund” is something you should get very used to hearing in the Dominican Republic. They may not speak English but can pronounce those words very clear. 

So after arguing the doctor apologized and then claimed"it was a cancellation today and he wanted to do my surgery the next day to “apologize for his actions”. Keep in mind at this point I’ve been in his office for 4 hours waiting and travel all day. In this moment I had to push forward with a doctor I was uncomfortable with already. YIKES! I had surgery less than 24 hours of being in the Dominican Republic. I wasn’t nt consulted properly about my tummy tuck, my BBL, and my lipo in anyway shape or form. 

Dr Toribio marked me the morning of the surgery as I tried explaining to him my desires and hopefully results. He brushed off everything I was telling him as if I was not the customer. I was basically crying and in tears up to the moment they put me to sleep. Having worked so hard for the $$ for this surgery what choice did I have. I could only pray the results would be desirable. I woke up excited as ive waited to save my money 10 years for this surgery. what did i find? A horrible incisions and very unsatisfactory results. He did not preform the BBL becasue there wasnt enough "fat" transfer but somehow managed to remove 12 pounds of fat from my tummy tuck and an additional 5 pounds in lipo. He claims when confronting him that he only does fat transfer and he couldn’t do anything. 

The first problem here is #1 ok you didn’t do the surgery so what portion of the $6000 do I get back? Answer $0.00. #2 considering I’m the customer I have no idea what’s normal so if your the professional and actually cared about your customer you would offer an alternative solution (example silicone implants) or you don’t charge the customer and as the professional make them aware it can’t be done. After a week of healing and the swelling going down here are the results. …..The lipo in my arms was uneven as he did my left arm but "forgot" my right arm lipo. i have ny left flank flat but again he "forgot" my right flank. other than the nightmare results it gets worse. 

I've asked for 2 weeks to see the doctor (ive had no follow up, consulation, not even a facetime with him) to discuss my results. after the first week my some stitches popped in my tummy tuck incision. now week 2 i have developed an infection in my incisions. i have been abandon by the doctor and his nursing staff. i am now flying home to the usa with no follow up no consulation no aftercare for his patients. 

a side note i went to the clinic to speak with a nurse in his office. she called him on the phone to explain everything and he cuss her out and talked to her like a dog for call him and told her not to record anything i am saying and erase my records. what he didnt know was i was standing right there listening. after this conversation the nurse said he is always like that but if ahe doesnt do what he tells her she will lose her job and she has 3 small kids to feed. i asked for my medical records before leaving home in hopes they will not be deleted/destroyed but its too late. 

point blank simplemy experience has been that of a nightmare. i am a decent hardworking mother of 5 and all i wanted was a decent honest ethical doctor to do my mommy makeover. instead after 3 weeks i feel robbed of my money, and complete abandoment. now i have to find the courage to live with the body he left me with as i try to save money for a real surgeon fix this, but i also have to go home as im feeling sick and feverish due to the infection. Dr toribio should be disbarred and his license stripped for his highly unethical and malpractice. i will never see the money again but hopefully i can save a fellow american man/women or abroad from ever experiencing this situation. 

This went from my dream surgery to return to my body pre 5 kids to an absolute nightmare with uneven lumpy results, a half done surgery and now a massive scar that will need repair and medication for the infections. i have a scan in the usa 09/29/21 to see the real unknown damage this doctor has done to me..... im sorry for the pause im hysterically crying highly emotional as i type this i am living in the worse nightmare a women in my situation could face. AFTER MY SCAN I HAVE A SEVERE INFECTION PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR AND HIS PRACTICE
