Tummy Tuck & Hernia Repair
WORTH IT$8,300
I Had tummy tuck, diastasis recti and hernia repair on 2/3/22 with Dr. Sanchez in Baton Rouge, LA
After my surgery, Dr. Sanchez told my husband that I had TWO hernias and 6 inch diastasis recti (gap between ab muscles)
My hernia was present for more than 2 years but started hurting me in 2021. I was completely asymptomatic before then.
I actually went to a different plastic surgeon in March 2020 for an umbilicoplasty 8 months after my first born, thinking I just had an outtie belly button.
She told me it was a hernia and referred me to a general surgeon. A week later, covid happened and I also found out I was pregnant with my second child.
After my second baby, my hernia got worse and started hurting occasionally. We are done having kids so I went to see general surgeon who wasn’t confident at all.
His exact words were “I can repair your hernia but I have no idea what it’s going to look like. Why dont you go see a plastic surgeon and get a tummy tuck?” He also told me my diastasis wasn’t that bad.
It had never occurred to me that I could qualify for a tummy tuck. I dont have any excess skin but I always looked like I was in my first trimester and I hated it. So I had a consult with a different plastic surgeon (Dr. Sanchez) and he told me he could fix me right up! Turns out I had 2 hernias and a six inch abdominal gap. Very grateful for Dr. Sanchez
I am one day post op. I get to shower today and take a peak at my belly and incision. I will take post op photos over the next year and post them as I heal. Hope this helps someone!
