Before and After
I received my before and after photos that were taken at my last follow up appointment @ approximately 3 months post op tummy tuck. Looking forward to even more progress as I continue in the gym. I'm almost 15 weeks post op and the swelling has decreased dramatically. I have not worn a compression garment or binder for the last 1.5 weeks- not even when working out and overall, I feel great!
3 months post op TT
Just wanted to update with photos.
My scar has healed well. I am a little lazy about massaging it these days. For the most part, I am back to all activities except for full core workouts. My core is still very weak in that regard and tender when I attempt to do a strictly core exercise. I wear a compression binder when exercising.
Some areas on my stomach are still numb, particularly right above and below the scar. I will occasionally get an itch in those areas and that can’t be satisfied with scratching or rubbing.
I do swell or bloat occasionally, more so above my belly button but it is usually resolved by the next day. I also get swelling in my pubic area. I am hoping that this will resolve over the next few weeks.
Some days I love my belly button and some days I do not.
My short term goal is to get to the point of being able to do core exercises with the hope of defining my stomach muscles more.
3 month checkup scheduled for next week with Dr T. Overall, I'm really happy with the results.

2 months post tummy tuck
Tomorrow marks 8 weeks since my tummy tuck and I am so pleased. I have eased back into lifting weights with no problem.
I don’t do any core exercises though because that area is still pretty sore only when I attempt to do core exercises but I have no problem engaging my core while doing lower or upper body exercises for the most part. I wear a binder while working out and I still wear the spanx during the day to minimize swelling. My swelling has subsided a lot so I don’t think I’ll have to wear the spanx as often, but was instructed to do so until my next follow up. My scars are flattening but still a little dark as I expected. I appreciate the symmetry of my scar and I am not bothered by it at all.
The main thing that bothers me is the Ken doll effect I have on occasion. It seems like the top of my public area swells at times and I feel like when wearing fitted clothing, I look like I’m tucking a penis. Lol. My husband and friends say it’s not that bad so perhaps it’s just me.
I still massage my scar once per day with vitamin E and cocoa butter oils. For the most part, I feel back to normal.
