I made it to the flat side!

I had a tummy tuck/muscle repair/lipo. My expeirence was great. I arrived at 0630, my vitals were taking, changed into gown and footies, urine pregnancy test completed. Dr.Song came in and marked me up, then the anesthesiologist came and started the iv, waited about 10mins, nurse came in and escorted me to the or. Climbed onto sx table, laid down, nurse said lift your leg let move this pillow under your knees and then i woke up in the recovery room. My goodness that anesthesia sleep is the bomb! Nurse helped me get dressed to go pee, sat on toilet what to me seemed like 5 mins, although my cousin says it was more like 30 mins, still no pee. So they take me back to the recovery room and place a foley, which was unpleasent. Then we were off to home, cousin helped me up the stairs, medicated me and i was off to lala land for a couple hours, woke up walked, ate and took medications, then back to sleep, this was my routine for the first week. 6 days later back at docs office and he says my drains can come out, lawd i was a scardy cat. The nurse removed the right one relatively no problem, but my gosh the left one was extremely tender, so much so i had her arm in a vice grip. After the trauma i finally got a look at my flat stomach, i had not seen her like this since 1990! I have to say dr. Song was very professional and patient, he did not try to up sale me, infact i wanted more lipo on my back. But he said i can do it, but since it has been done before you wont see much difference! The worst part of this process is and was the suture and drain removal. If i had to do it again , there would be no hesitation!!!!

Surgery day,surprisingly I'm not nervous or anxious about the sx,I'm more worried about the IV! I also got my left nipple repaired. My nipple has always been inverted but it would appear when the mood was right! But I had a reduction in 2011,I assumed it would appear as before after healing, sadly it did not,I was ok with that,however my husband wanted it repaired since I was getting my tt!

Well it's been a week,and Dr.Song says drains are coming out! This I have to admit was horrible for me! The nurse removed the right drain first,not too bad. The left drain was really tender,it hurt when she cut the suture,I gripped her armso tight when got ready to pull the drain,it hurt like a [RS bleep]... However I now feel fantastic with them gone.
