Seven weeks post op

WORTH IT
Seven weeks 2 days ago. Feeling really good. Working out a bit more, however still not lifting like I was before. I'm doing half of what I would normally do. I do a lot of body weight workouts. My muscles are coming back. Lost it all after 6 weeks of inactivity. There's definitely swelling and I mainly feel it at night. There are times I'm so swollen I feel pressure around belly button area. Other than that things are going well.

Your belly button appears off-centered. Is it or is it the photographs?

6 week post op today

Was seen by my Dr. today for my 6 week post op. She said everything looks good. Ok to take off my compression garment on light days for a few hours now. Also cleared to start exercising, of course start off slow. I'm super thrilled with my results. Highly recommend Dr. Boll.

You look absolutely amazing! Thank you for posting your journey. I gained and lost a large amount of weight throughout my preteen- teen years after a sexual assault prompted a few years of anxiety and depression. It's taken literally more than a decade for me to feel comfortable enough with my body to trust a change like this. When I saw your before tummy I was like omg that looks like my abdomen... so to see your after photos as well brought so much hope and inspiration and completely sealed the deal for me. This has to happen for me ! #goals
Hi! So sorry to hear you had to go through something so horrible, I can't even imagine your pain and struggle to overcome depression. I'm glad my journey has brought you hope. This is the whole point of this right? To be here and be supportive and encouraging to one another. Thank you for your comment and if you are seriously thinking of doing it, do it! It has been a positive life changing experience for me. After working out so hard and being a runner my whole life and not seeing the results of my hard work, I said "Ok it's time for me now!" I will continue to post pics. Please stay in touch and best of luck to you!!!! Hope you have a nice and blessed New Year

Five week mark 2 days ago. Scar feels pretty flat now. Been wearing my silagen strip religiously. I do have dog ears where my drains were but hoping they flatten out in time. I know there's swelling but hasn't been too bad. Other than that recovery hasn't been bad, just waiting on my PS to give me the ok to start working out.
