WORTH IT
Hello RS sisters I had my procedure done 2 days ago. Before I begin let me give you my background. Momma of 3, I'm 48 y/o 5'0 132 lbs. Going back way back into time I gave birth to a 9 1/2 baby. Well as you can imagine my skin stretched to the max. I had 2 other pregnancies after that but my babies were much smaller. I've always been active, I am a runner and I do weights. However no matter how much I exercised or ate healthy my pooch never went away. It was so frustrating because I wasn't seeing my results of all my hard work. I always felt overweight because of all the loose skin. This year I finally decided to go for it and just do it. I found a great Doctor who is understanding and compassionate. Fast forward now to day of procedure. I must say the day of was the hardest for me yet. The pain was pretty intense, however I did take pain meds and it helped some. Day 1 post op wasn't bad it was more of a sore feeling, kind of like when you workout on abs and the following day you are super sore. I am able to walk ok. No need for walker and I am not completely hunched over. I also went in for my 1st follow up Dr saw me says everything looks great. Nurse showed me how to properly empty my drains and also cleaned my drain site. Here are some before pictures. Later on I will post some of what I'm looking like now. Thank you all for your support. We are in this together.

PO Day 2 and 3
ronti919November 15, 2020
Well day 2 I was feeling ok in the morning. However in the evening as I was cleaning out my drains I started feeling nauseous and lightheaded so I wasn't up to taking any pictures. My back started hurting a bit too. Day 3 has been better. Per my Dr's orders no showering until my drains are out. I sponged bathed, cleaned drains, put Aquaphor around the drain site and washed my hair with my husband's help. I must say day 3 definitely feels much better than day 2. I took a picture but be warned I'm in the best selfie taker. So picture doesn't do justice to the way I actually look in person. Dr. Boll is amazing!

PO Day 4 and 5
ronti919November 18, 2020
Well day 4 was pretty much like day 3. Been walking a lot around my house, per Dr. Orders. No pain but hardest part is not being able to completely stand straight, which of course causes all the back pain.
I have to say that the compression stockings got to me at night. I was asleep but they were hurting me pretty bad so I took them off, however knowing today day 5 was my 2nd Dr visit i did tell my Dr that i had taken them off. She looked at my legs and there was no swelling so she said it was ok. She just advised to continue walking a lot and still sleep in a V position with legs elevated. Happy to say my left drain was removed today. The right maybe taken off this week as well, really hoping so. Oh my BB stitches were also removed today and was taught how to take care of it. I did develop a small reaction (rash) to the tape on my incision so that will be off for a few days. I got to see my incision....wow it's a pretty nice cut. I'll post pictures tomorrow.
