ETT, 360 Lipo, Arm Lift

I purposely waited until I was further along in my recovery before writing this review because I wanted to be able to look back on my entire experience and give an honest reflection of it.

I travelled from Canada to Istanbul alone for my surgery, which naturally made choosing the right surgeon and team even more important to me. From the very beginning, I felt that I was in good hands with Dr. Yunus, Kim, Lucy and the entire nursing team.

What I respected most about Dr. Yunus was his honesty. He was realistic about what could safely be accomplished with my body and was not the type of surgeon who would simply agree to everything I asked for just because I wanted it. There were things we discussed that he explained he would not do aggressively because he did not want to compromise my circulation or healing. That meant a lot to me because it showed that my safety came before simply trying to promise me a “perfect” result.

I underwent an extended tummy tuck, 360 liposuction and brachioplasty, along with additional contouring. This was a major surgery, and as the weeks have passed, my swelling has continued to decrease and my body has started settling beautifully. I have been able to appreciate Dr. Yunus’s work more and more. My tummy tuck incision is incredibly low, which was extremely important to me, and I am so happy with the overall shape and contour he was able to achieve.

But I also want this review to recognize the people who took care of me outside of the operating room.

Kim and Lucy deserve a very special thank you. They were there throughout the process to answer my questions, reassure me, communicate with me and make sure I understood what was happening. Having that support made such a difference, especially when you are having surgery in another country. They were patient, kind and made the entire experience feel much less overwhelming.

And then there is the nursing team. I genuinely cannot say enough about them.

Those first hours after a major surgery are when you are at your most vulnerable. You need help getting up, moving around and doing things you normally wouldn’t think twice about. The nurses treated me with so much dignity, patience and compassion. Because I didn’t have a family member or friend there with me, their kindness meant even more. You never forget the people who take care of you when you are in that position, and I will always remember how well I was treated.

Of course, surgery is only the beginning. Recovery takes patience, and your body continues changing and healing for months. There are uncomfortable days, swelling and all the normal realities that come with major surgery. But as my body continues to heal, I am incredibly happy with my progress and with my decision to choose Dr. Yunus.

To Dr. Yunus, thank you for your honesty, your skill and for prioritizing my safety while still giving me a transformation that I am so happy with.

To Kim and Lucy, thank you for your patience, reassurance and for always making me feel supported throughout this process.

And to the entire nursing team, thank you for taking such wonderful care of me when I needed it most. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
