WORTH IT
The count down begins. I’m scheduled for March 22, 2018. After having my first child at 18 my stomach has never quite recovered. I unfortunately have diastasis recti so even after losing all of my “baby weight,” my stomach never even got close to pre-pregnancy. It doesn’t matter what I wear I look about 4 months pregnant. While being pregnant with my other children I always showed earlier and looked way further along. It’s always nice when people ask you if you’re having twins or if you’re sure about that due date.(note sarcasm) I’m glad I am finally at a point in my life where I will be able to have my stomach fixed so that I don’t have to be so concerned with finding the right clothes to hide behind.

Thank you! I'm excited, nervous and wondering if I am going to have enough help with my kiddos, so that I can recover properly.

Oh my gosh we have such similar pregnancy stories! People said the same things to me! One person even asked about triplets! How rude! I too have 4 kids and they did a number on my body. Had a mommy makeover in February though and I am loving my results! Best thing I ever did! Congrats on your upcoming surgery and good luck!

My balance I paid in full. Now to wait! I’m feeling excited and nervous. I am worrying a little bit about having to have help with my two little kids. The next few weeks will fly by I am sure!

Are you going to have your little ones immediately post op? I was at home with 4 about 10 days post op. I would get my older 2 to school and then was home with a 4yr old and 2 yr old all day. it was manageable. I didn’t do much but they were happy and alive when my husband got home so that all that mattered lol!

My mom and mother-in-law are planning to help out quite a bit that first week. Thankfully, the my daughter is in pre-k and doesn’t get home until 4pm and my little boy who’s 2 goes to daycare full time since I work. So I will have some rest time. My oldest is in college and the middle boy is 16 and will have school but be home to help around 3:30p. I am not sure how bedtime is going to go, my little one usually wakes and comes to my bed most nights. I guess he’ll just have to snuggle his daddy. Alive counts right! haha!

Post Op day 3 update

Well here I am 3 days post op. Surgery went very well. After being released and getting home I became very nauseous. I ended up vomiting several times the first few hours I was home. The two days were good. Getting up and down walking like I was supposed to and dumping my drains. My husband has been great so far, taking care of me and the household. This morning I woke up excited to take my first shower since surgery. I thankfully have a bench in my shower. After being in there for a few minutes and getting my hair shampooed, we removed the plastic and bandages from my breast. All of the sudden I felt like I was going to pass out. I am not really sure if it was seeing the blood on the bandages or what. This feeling lasted for several minutes. My husband ended up finishing washing me and rinsing the conditioner from my hair, so that I could get out of the shower quickly. Everything looks great and other than those few instances everything has gone great. I have called Dr. Stephan twice so far and he has called back quickly and given me his cell number in case anything else arises. I am loving the results so far. I am hoping and praying that I heal well and quickly.
