3 months post op

I am a little over 3 months post op. I am so happy that I chose to have a mommy makeover. It has been absolutely life changing. I would do this over in heart beat!

5 weeks post op

Everything has been going pretty well. I had my drains removed at my 1 week check up. I did have to go back into his office 3 more times over the following weeks to have fluid drained from my stomach, between my belly button and my incision. That part sounds bad but it wasn’t because I was still numb, so I couldn’t feel the needle, just pressure. They also missed a couple of stitches when they were removing them at my 1 week appointment, so those had to be removed as well. I have been increasing my cardio slowly and still trying to have at least 30 grams of protein daily. I can’t wait for my scar on my belly to flatten more. Here are a couple of pics for comparison on healing time.

Post Op day 3 update

Well here I am 3 days post op. Surgery went very well. After being released and getting home I became very nauseous. I ended up vomiting several times the first few hours I was home. The two days were good. Getting up and down walking like I was supposed to and dumping my drains. My husband has been great so far, taking care of me and the household. This morning I woke up excited to take my first shower since surgery. I thankfully have a bench in my shower. After being in there for a few minutes and getting my hair shampooed, we removed the plastic and bandages from my breast. All of the sudden I felt like I was going to pass out. I am not really sure if it was seeing the blood on the bandages or what. This feeling lasted for several minutes. My husband ended up finishing washing me and rinsing the conditioner from my hair, so that I could get out of the shower quickly. Everything looks great and other than those few instances everything has gone great. I have called Dr. Stephan twice so far and he has called back quickly and given me his cell number in case anything else arises. I am loving the results so far. I am hoping and praying that I heal well and quickly.
