I am glad to report that I am fully healed at 4WPO. My PS said I know longer need to wear my compression garment; however, I am not comfortable without the tightness around my waist. Now that I am fully healed and can “resume all normal activities” I will try to incorporate some exercising into my regimen in moderation. I feel good about my results despite not having lipo!

Wonderful results. May I ask why you decided not to have lipo with your procedure?

The Dr. Said he didn’t feel I needed it in order to get a good FLAT result. I agree to some extent because yes my tummy is flat but I would have loved a more contoured look by having lipo on my back and flanks.

Did you want the 2 areas of lipo they usually offer with the tummy tuck? What was your pain level?

My recovery has not been that bad! I believe pain meds and Valium have helped tremendously! I only take them when my back has had enough from being hunched over! I brought a walker from the Goodwill for $8.99 it looked brand new! I tell you it came in handy because my back hurt so bad from being hunched over. My daughter told me I walk like an old lady.

I am the mother of six birthed children. One set of twins. No matter how much I weight my stomach was always a hindrance to me feeling good about myself. I am 5’6 and weighed 178 the day of surgery. I am hoping for a smooth recovery. The only horrible thing I have encountered so far is that I coughed post op one day and thought I saw Jesus and the host of heavenly angels!!

Congrats! I found the sneezing (no thanks to hay fever) to really sting. Hope you have a smooth recovery

You are so funny! We are similarly built and my doc wanted me to lose 20 lbs before he would do the surgery. I am 65 without a thyroid and on tons of meds so losing weight is almost impossible. I went on Noom which I've done before, but this time I was highly motivated. I lost 6 lbs, which for me is amazing. My preop is next week and I am worried he will say it's not enough. Your pics give me hope that it might happen after all

I had a hysterectomy in 2017 and I was able to get down to my goal weight of 165; however, due to hormones was not able to keep it off! I was over it. The first consultation I had the doctor wanted me to lose 25-30lbs before he would operate. I scheduled my consult with Dr. Godat and he advised me to lose at least 10lbs for optimal results. I did the best I could and had my surgery on 7/11!!! Good luck to you I hope it works out in your favor!

I've lost 8 lbs and my pre-op is on Monday. I am hoping against hope, he will say ok. It usually takes at least a year to lose 10 lbs (2016) so I am proud at losing 8 in 1.5 months! Since surgery wouldn't be until July 21st I might be able to lose a total of 10...so I guess I'll wait and see. I am a pessimist and I expect him to say no (being pessimistic is great because it means it can only get better) hopefully he will surprise me
